Bon départ: beginners' French - Audio

170

Want to learn the basics in French? The 18 audios in the album are devised for beginner learners of French and include a series of short conversations in which you will hear people greeting each other, asking how to get somewhere, asking who someone is, buying things, ordering breakfast in a café and talking about what they eat for breakfast, booking a hotel room, and using numbers and letters. There is also a track to help with pronunciation. This material forms part of The Open University course L192 Bon départ: beginners' French.

    Difficult for Complete Beginners
I've been searching around on the podcasts to refresh my French, and came across this one. Since I took French for years, this is easy dialogue for me to follow. However, this would be difficult to understand for a complete beginner. I've yet to see the transcript, but based off of another review, it seems both are only in French. It would be much more helpful to have the transcript written in French and then in English with key terms and definitions.

Where are the translations to English??
A beginner can't learn a new language without knowing the meaning of the words! This is merely nothing more than French dialogue written and spoken! There is no "teaching" of the language. This course is useless unless you already know some French & are looking to improve on your pronunciation.

Need to add a full download option
It's cumbersome to get episodes separately, as well as to download transcripts separately. Need to add a "full series" single download button. Thanks.
