The guy argues that the media and players don't have to be enemies and yet in the same podcast demonstrates exactly why the media is so often hated and wrong. Colin, he is on your case for not speaking detractors directly, but didn't they start it by so cowardly criticizing you in the first place? Does anyone on earth like Brandel Chamblee? Stand your ground, pal. Don't let the schmucks get you down.

Just stumbled across this podcast and after just a couple of episodes I am hooked. Great storytelling and presentation. Can’t wai to dive into more episodes.

Some fun and interesting stories in and around the world of golf that are told in an interesting way. A lot of golf podcasts exist, but longer form ones such as LK stand out in a crowd of weekly LIV v PGA rehashing.

Shane definitely doesn’t slack off when it comes to sharing background on golf’s history and characters. Highly recommended for golf, sports, history fans.

This guy speaks very slowly. It is a manner which suggests he is savoring his own words. And at least for the Gary Player cheating episode, there was an unbearable bed of piano music in the background. Jesus Christ. Is this GolfDigest now? Wow do I feel old. I bet this podcast remembers when you could buy a bag of hard candy for a nickel.

Use to listen to this podcast when interesting stories were researched and told. Latest approach is not for me,, I’m out.

If you wouldn't speak, as if everybody knows just what you're talking about when you make references. If you would go into more of the facts of what happened during the Ryder Cup and talking about individual performances by players. If you would give some background and context to the things that you're saying because not everybody follows Golf as closely, even though we may be interested. We make a living in other ways and we're busy. That's why we come to a podcast like this one. This is terrible reporting. It is more like a bunch of guys getting together and chatting and it's not a good use of my time.

I listened to the Ryder Cup trilogy and read his book. Enjoyed both. This “RC Rascals “ is a bit like a frat house drunk house! Stick to the content!

Since March 6, 2023, the golf related stories that are being told on this podcast are GOLDEN. The episode about Ronald Reagan at Augusta was well told, while offering an incredible amount of detail and witty humor that kept me captivated the entire time. Please keep this series going.. there’s no other golf podcast with this type of content and quality.

This was an outstanding episode because it is hard to break Seve down in an hour and a half pod. But this was well done. Thanks and you have a loyal listener now.

Topics and content are very good, but shows are almost un-listenable due to poor sound volumes consistency. Ex: volumes go up and down depending on the speaker, and even worse when playing “clips”. Sound goes down so far you cannot hear, the jumps up.

The Feb. 13, 2023 episode was difficult to listen to.

Content is good and worth a listen. This particular review, however, is on the Full Swing Thoughts episode reviewing the Netflix docu-series. The full review of episode 1 came out 2 days before it was released to the public. I understand the guys have access to a pre-release of the episode, but was it the intent to discuss the pros and cons, personal opinions of the episode in full detail, before fans can watch it? It seemed to spoil the content and surprise. Still a fan of the Local Knowledge Podcast.

Should’ve been titled ominous podcast, based on the title you’d think they’d get right into why it was an ominous year in golf, no they talk about big prize money on women’s golf and how the host had an amazing golf buddies trip, who cares about winning a buddies golf vacation! You need a real producer who will tell you how to avoid self indulgent dweebish diatribes! What a waste of my time!

Although I find some of the shows a bit silly, most are quite good, especially the show about racism on the golf course and the show on Moe Norman.

I have been more than impressed with the quality of the program!!

The “Crash Course Golf Overhaul” episode was really great. Gives some of us older golfers hope that the clock can be turned back a little with some proper instruction and dedication.

I listen to many golf podcasts but this return to the home of Golf Podcast has me writing a “thumps up” and first ever review. First took notice of Local Knowledge with the lead up to the US Open. Looking forward to the crew’s next exploits.

I have listened to a number of different golf podcast and I find this to be without question the best. As opposed to just banter and commentary, the show delves into many behind the scenes aspects of the game and tour itself. The topics really help provide a better understanding of both. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys or follows the sport.

Wow , love it! So different from what we always read about tour players , my father in law died from that decease at 75 but is a very debilitating one , Im glad he is trying different options, hopefully we’ll see him back at on the Tour someday !

This was an insightful episode to hear about athletes/golfers experiences with their mental health. While the intro captures both female and male athletes mental health challenges, the episode focuses on pro male golfers and their experiences. It would be great to follow up this episode up with female pro golfers/athletes experiences too.

I really enjoy this podcast. It has interesting content that a different than your typical golf stuff, and has a good production format. Well done!

There are so many podcasts out there that are basically all the same: people yelling over each other, trying to be funny and telling us who’s gonna win the Tour event this week. This is such a great change of pace: thorough storytelling, high production value and compelling topics. Always a great half hour!

Know yourself while playing golf to eliminate doubt. As mid handicapper have gone through slumps, this episode sheds light on what some pros go through and their recovery. Enjoyed it and it encouraged me!

Really enjoy this podcast. There are over 100 golf podcasts and personally I am not too interested in who is going to win on tour or some bros talking about golf like barstool. The team that does this podcast discovers great topics, does the research and actually makes you think about unique perspectives in the game. My favorite episode was the one about sandbaggers. I have never won a net golf tournament and sandbaggers drive me nuts. Keep up the great work!

Love golf but hard to find a quality golf podcast. This podcast does it right. Good topics, quality interviews.

If you like golf this is a great podcast to listen to. It has insightful and interesting stories on wide variety of topics. Sandbaggers, Funding of LPGA professionals, etc . all very interesting. I’ve listened to some other Golf related podcasts and hearing 2-3 guys dialogue is not all that interesting. I would love more Golf content like this. This is similar to but better than Undercover Tour Pro column in mag

If you like golf / PGA golf, this is a must listen.

The editing/producing of this podcast is unmatched in the modern era. Imagine if John Williams produces/edited a podcast and was also younger and more talented.

The PGA has viewers and fans. The LPGA does not. That’s the big driver of revenue and purse sizes. The rest of it is pure b.s. and has nothing to do with sexism. Dumb episode.
