I actually look forward to Monday mornings thanks to TWP!
James and Maso keep me alert as I giggle my way through my morning commute. I love listening to them talk about my favorite fandoms just as much as stuff I will never ever watch! Without question my all-time favorite podcast!!!

The two biggest America weebs in Australia
Love this podcast been watching since the animated Batman v Superman leaked script video when I was a kid and am a proud big sandwich eater. Tune in every week to listen to two huge America weebs cursed by a witch to talk about how great the USA is and how our movies are the best. Special thanks for wig talk, tram talk and the podcast dog!

    My best friends
James and Maso are my best friends. They don’t know I exist but after listening to them for nearly a decade now, a bit of Stockholm syndrome has set in for me. Anyways, 5 stars, mate

    A Must Listen
These gentlemen run the foremost The Rookie rewatch podcast. They always leave the Rookdate until the end of the show, which is frustrating, but would recommend to any The Rookie fans!

    Sloats
I’m writing this five star review because I’m assuming James did not reveal his recipe for slow oats (sloats) with Greek yogurt at the start of the next episode like he said he would and I would like to hear it.

It’s good , really … listen to it
It’s always funny, but it’s even better when James goes crazy over local zoning and politics

    Not a PODCAST
Used to love this show. Now it’s full of ads. Getting some ad revenue is totally awesome. But opening with 2 minutes of ads. Doing your own ad read in show, and another ad break in the middle is too much. Godspeed gents.

It’s Like Your Besties Were Actually Funny
Forget the funny accents and the awful things their ancestors may or may not have done. Hands down the funniest conversational podcast on the internet. Thank you Maso and James for brightening my pop culture week!

    Great acting!
This show is such a delightful listen! It stars Rob McElhenney (It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia) as James and Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley) as Nick. They play Australian best mates that talk about comics, movies, and television to the best of their knowledge. Truly. Sometimes they don’t know what they’re even talking about. I couldn’t love it more!

Good podcast, never meet your heroes
I saw James at a grocery store in Melbourne yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Violet Crumbles in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

    Made up my mind
I’ve been listening since 2015, and I’ve been a BigSandwich.co member long enough to go back through all the old content, and I finally feel comfortable saying: this is a good podcast. It’s a shame James went to jail for his pita pizza crimes. I’m Big Ears Batman!

    The Funniest Podcast Ever!
3 incredibly funny Australians doing improv comedy, from Frogman to Judas these blokes never fail to come up with the most hilarious (and sometimes socially relevant) characters. An unmatched dynamic and enjoyable guests. A little rude for my tastes, maybe, but they never fail to draw a chuckle from betwixt my lips. The Footy is a pretty good podcast too.

The ultimate Rookie and Ghostbusters podcast
I’ve never heard two Gentleman who loved The Rookie and Ghostbusters so much. The only thing more unwavering than their love for those and only those two franchises is the dedication to quality content. These two are hilarious and make my Mondays and Thursdays so much better. Keep up the good work!

    FIVE STARS!!! INAPP!!!
I’ve been searching for years at this point, I’ve come here to ask, ‘Has Aquaman 2 come out yet, or is it coming out later this year?’ No way to know at this point.

    A perfect description
Go to Disney+ and queue up Simpsons season 2 episode 1. Jump the 16:50 mark and listen closely as the two morning radio hosts are described. It doubles as a perfect description of this podcast. I love it

    My favorite podcast
The Weekly Planet is your number 1 source for red hot comic book movie news, especially if you like it shooting up your butthole! Love these guys and appreciate their work, this is the first podcast I started listening to religiously. I can’t wait for the Snake Eyes review!! Highly recommend this podcast!
  • JoshtheHead
    Australian?
Fantastic, entertaining shows from two men doing the worst Australian accent I’ve ever heard. Clearly these guys are from South Africa.

    Too many day ones?
Suspicious amount of these reviewers/letter-writers claim to have been listening from the very start… can they be believed?? I’m not ashamed to say I started at episode 163, which is not particularly impressive or noteworthy. (The episode was called ‘163 Best Disney Movies That Mason Hates,’ so I thought it was going to be about Maso hating 163 Disney movies. Which was not the case at the time, but we may reach that number any day now.) Keep up the good work fellas

Saying hi to myself in the future.
Been a fan for many years and finally decided to start listening to this podcast from the beginning. It’s been a trip listening to you both from the start and discovering the origins of many iconic segments like the creation of the “what we reading, what we are gonna read”, the opening theme, etc. and it’s a cool time capsule to experience. I’ve found myself saying things like “wait, Deadpool hadn’t come out yet?” “Oh wait, they don’t know how epically great Guardians of the Galaxy is gonna be cause they haven’t seen it yet?!” I was expecting to start this podcast with u both being vastly different than I know of u in 2025 but yet u both r just the same. Not sure if that’s a compliment or not but I think it is cause you both r so amazing to listen too, both in the past and the present. I think I will be listening to the past ones for a bit longer before I listen to a current one so if you could, do a SHOUT OUT to myself in the future when I finally catch up to ur current stuff. Here’s hoping the Hayden’s baby was named Ra’s al Goo Goo.

    Existential Crisis
Episode 561s intro sent me into a crisis and my brain into fight/flight mode. I was listening to the podcast exactly at the 59 after I had gotten home from work and frankly… I’m thrilled the boys have recognized me

The only podcast I listen to
This podcast is informative and so funny. I love the relaxed feel of two bro’s hanging out and (as I like to imagine) punchin’ darts. As the title suggests it’s the only podcast I listen to. It actually isn’t but it kind of is, you know? “No I DONT know” -James
  • Charliipresley
Show is good. WAY TOO MANY ADS.
Show is good. Like the guys. Won’t subscribe because the ads are out of control.

    Five Stars
Mason, before I read this review I need to get something off my chest. I, James, do find Lola Bunny from the original Space Jam movie very attractive. That’s it. Back to the review - it says 5-stars.

Been listening to this podcast for a decade. Now that they have FINALLY reviewed the best comic book movie of all time, The Rocketeer, they have earned their 3rd 4th and 5th stars. Thanks mates.

    Podcasting gateway drug
This was my first ever podcast and I’ve become a podcast addict I listen to at least 2-3 podcasts a day. Podcasts are Australias greatest export and these fellas introduced me to many other podcasts from their homeland. Great way to stay informed on film and pop culture without having to read.

After over a decade of getting red hot comic book movie news shot up my, well you know, my inner voice is now Australian. Thank you for the years, the laughs, and the consistency.

    Big time 5 star review
These fellas are the best and are just as big as Rich Roll. I mean seriously their numbers are comparable so they have nothing to be insecure about! Also now that I have your attention remember when George Clooney did one of his classic “pranks” by throwing an apple at a woman's head? Remember that? Anyway 5 stars.
