Easily one of my favorite podcasts. Truthfully, an inspiration for my own.

Definitely worth listening.

You don’t have to be a fan of Open Mike Eagle to enjoy this podcast. I never know what to expect, but I’ve enjoyed listening to every single episode.

I remember listening to this podcast in 2015-16 and enjoying it a lot. glad to see it’s been resurrected!

There’s not a lot of space given to interviews with the underground, and Mike Eagle has a real sense of the struggle that unites all these folx together. It’s a beautiful thing to listen to week-to-week, and I hope you enjoy it too, review-reader!

I thought this podcast was about the tricks of prosthetic skin on the set of FX Murder by Illusion starring Bryan Brown and favorite actor Dennehy. It’s not. Still great tho.

Very much enjoy this and “What Had Happened Was.” Great interviews and talks. Would love more talks with the LA beat scene folks and another episode with House Shoes. Cheers yo

I’ve never heard an Open Mike Eagle podcast that wasn’t good. But the Brother Ali episode is especially great.

Even though I don’t know too much about the world of indie rap, and often am new to discovering the artists he talks to, Mike’s smart and warm style of interviewing draws me in with every episode. His willingness to have the tables turned and be interviewed himself in recent episodes was cool and showed his vulnerability. It’s also a interesting glimpse into the creative process for those of us who are foreign to that life.

Consume all things Open Mike Eagle; Better for your health and well being than a daily vitamin and meditation session. Enjoy!

Just listened to the Hari Kondabolu ep from 2015 - I missed this show the first time around but here we are seven years later and hearing that nobody won the ‘name the sample’ contest still got me to rate and review. Open Mike Eagle is a wildly talented musician, solid interviewer, and all around interesting dude. Can’t wait for the new season.

Open Mike has a new podcast called “What Had Happened Was” not to mention a new album “Anime Trauma Divorce.”

In the realm of the five-star rating system (which I hate, everything should be based on ten-stars with increments of .1, but I digress) it’s ultra-rare of me to bestow a perfect 5 star rating, but I really love this show, and would very much like to have more, please, sir.

I would say the same about Open Mike Eagle’s music, as well. And, somehow, he manages to incorporate the same sense of melody and humor in his podcast and music. I especially identified with the episode with Baron Vaughn. Overall, I think Mike Eagle is an interviewer who can get to the the intersection of the hearts and minds of his guest and stay there comfortably.

Open Mike Eagle is incredibly witty, smart, funny, and just seems to be a real wholesome dude and all of that comes through in this podcast. If you like his music or his TV show then you'll love this too. Also if you've never heard of him you'll probably still love it for the reasons I've already mentioned.

Excellent way to bring this podcast back. Will be looking forward to more of whatever the episodes bring 👊🏼💥
