mandapan23If you only listen.......to one podcast this month it MUST be this one. Speaks to the heart, the head and the soul. Mia Birdsong is someone I wish I was friends with for her ability to speak to all the above and for listening to real people gift us with their stories. Are we ready to make change??

Lucretia PilissaNecessary and Long OverdueRich people have it and do whatever they can to get more. When poor people say they need cash, especially poor black women, their vilified. Thank you for bringing this serious conversation to a broader audience.

Bloomer303Jen80Must listenThis is one of the most eloquent, powerful, important podcasts I’ve listened to in a long time. I listened to the first episode and then binge listened to all the rest. I learned a great deal, felt deeply moved by the stories and voices I heard and reflected on my own life and the actions I can take to move towards an America I could be proud to be a part of. Thank you.

3rReviewerShould be Mandatory ListeningAs a former criminal defense attorney I wish this podcast were part of judicial mandatory listening (and in law schools, medical schools, social work and economic programs, to name a few). Mia Birdsong presents some of the previously unheard voices in the conversation on universal basic income with clarity (and more generosity than we in the white privileged culture deserve). THANK YOU, Mia and The Nation!

Naxx StovallMia is brilliantMia travels around the country, talking to people who are often left out of policy convos: those who are struggling the most. It's a brilliant break down.

physicsisgroovyA wide selection of voicesAlready in one episode we hear from policy experts, a Native American researcher, MLK, and an anecdote from Mia on her experience at a rural gun club. Glad that we have a perspective on guaranteed income that includes everyone who stands to benefit from it.

andrew61535Pure BrillianceThe passion Mia has for ridding this country from the strangling hold that income inequality has on it, will inspire any listener to follow her. Mia couples her personal anecdotes with historical examples and sets forth a picture of a not so distant futuristic society that places a humans worth not on their net worth, but on the simple fact of their humanity. I recommend this to all people seeking a better America for all, regardless of political affiliation!
