    Excellent scientific evidence
I love the new format! The host is a real scientist! Research based.

a science show hosted by a woman! subscribe!
the scary executive orders had me digging for science podcasts hosted by women. i’m tired that the majority of them are hosted by men. this show popped up a couple weeks ago. i had never seen it before and subscribed immediately. then i realized i follow Sam on social. she is amazing and the episode topics are current and informative. keep it up! it’s great. also, i'm impressed this is from the discovery channel?! i thought they only did shark week and reality outdoor shows for boomers. do more podcasts!

    To long
I’ve liked the shorter version, way to long now. I’m unsubscribing

    Loving the change up!
Wow was waiting to see what would come with the new iteration of curiosity and I have to say that I’m loving the first two episodes! Sam is an excellent host and the science is fascinating!! Obsessed!

    Great pod!!
I’ve struggled with science since I was a kid and this podcast has really helped. Keep up the great work 🙌🏻

    Boring and Uninformative
Was wanting something more informative. The episodes drag on and you don’t really learn anything. The hosts are obnoxious and speak with the intellectual capacity of teenagers.
  • Oksuz_
    Episode about Dragons.
I wonder how much they got paid for the ‘House of Dragons’ ads. It’s a shame that they do this as it is supposed to be science news. Unsubscribing!

    Way way too chirpy.
Way way too chirpy - I just can’t listen and that’s a drag.

This is, hands-down, the very best podcast out there
I would even go so far as to say that it is the best listening out there. I find the information they present really entertaining. It is presented in a form that is easy to understand and follow without feeling like they are talking down to you or treating their audience like kindergartners. I think Calli and Nate are incredible cohost and they work really well together. It’s obvious there is an actual friendship there. With the all the driving around I do and all of the mundane tasks I find myself doing around my home, Curiosity Daily is the best way I know of to help the time go by faster and leave me feeling better informed. Thank you so much & keep up the good work Calli, Nate and Discovery Channel! You are awesome!

Fun, funny and full of fascinating facts! It should be on everybody's morning list. Plus, it appeals to all ages. Keep up the great work!

Good info but so cheesy it’s hard to focus!
Please stop the incredibly annoying joking. Interesting facts but I can only listen occasionally because the dialogue is so distracting!
  • KL_Neuro
    Unlistenable
Unbearably corny. The information is interesting, but the attempt at humor completely ruins it.

I mean no disrespect to the current hosts..
..but, Cody and Ashley were better. I don’t fault the new hosts. I suspect that Discovery did everything it could to conjure up what it thinks the audience would want the best a soulless corporate monolith could. What we ended up getting is an over-acted, cheesy, and just overall insufferable version of what once was. Like a mom who still thinks she’s cool. Ashley and Cody provided a much more natural flow and charm that didn’t come across as pandering to the audience. If you’re new the show, you may like it. But, if you’ve been around awhile, I’d be shocked if you’re still listening.

    Too much “Climate Change” narrative
Unfortunately I too will have to unsubscribe to the podcast after years of being a faithful listener. The climate change narrative is woven into every possible corner of this podcast. It is no longer a podcast where your “curiosity” is truly peaked “daily” by listening to stories and summaries of ground breaking or interesting research.

Bad scripts, forced “acting” - cringe
I hate that I’m writing a negative review for this podcast, I used to love it. Cody and Ashley were so great and natural. The new hosts sound like they’re overacting with every word and inflection and reaction. NOTHING feels natural, and it’s just so annoying. Maybe they can’t help it because the script is so terrible and they’re doing the best they can, but I just can’t anymore. I would like to keep listening because of the content, but it’s just not worth the cringe factor. ukh. Have to unsubscribe unfortunately.
  • Tomtomtom4ever
    Cheesy dialogue
I like the content they discuss, but the back-to-back dialogue is super cheesy and full of cliche one liners.
  • sledxl
    Interesting info annoying patter
Love the bite sized information. The forced patter is super distracting. Maybe it’s aimed at kids.

What happened to Ashley Hamer and Cody Goth?
I liked it better when it was them. I mean this is okay but I liked them better.

    Not on Alexa anymore????
This was part of my flash briefing but hasn’t been available for several days… why not?

Dumb is not the new smart
I listen to this podcast because it actually does have interesting science stories. However, I would never tell anyone I know that I listen to it. They would think I’m just a stupid person. One of the hosts continuously dumbs down her speech and uses “I mean“ extraneously in almost every sentence. Sometimes she says it twice in one short sentence. It’s clear she’s trying to seem “cooler“ than the average science enthusiast – which doesn’t make sense, because anyone who would listen to this podcast already thinks science is pretty cool. She’s not going to lure non-sciency people to the show by talking like someone waking up on the floor of a frat house.

    Misinformation
I saw this podcast shared on Apple News and was so excited to see that my condition was being talked about!! I have suffered from endometriosis (and adenomyosis) for most of my life and yet no one knows about it. Two minutes into the episode and I was disappointed. Again. There is so much misinformation of this illness, even on government and medical websites. Please speak to excision specialists and the people who suffer from it, like me, to verify your information. Endometriosis has been found in cis men, as well as women whose uterus never formed. In girls before their period begins and in women who have gone through menopause. Because of this, the theory of retrograde menstruation simply cannot be true. The most current research suggests that endometriosis begins forming while we are still in utero. I am happy to see that endo is getting more attention, but misinformation is partially the reason we go undiagnosed for an average of 6-10 years and why so many of us receive less than adequate care from doctors who are just as misinformed as the general public.

    Great show!
I have listened to every episode. Thank you for covering tirzepitide for weight loss. I went to a weight mgmt clinic and was started on it and I have lost 60 pounds! I never know what I’m going to learn. Keep up the great work!!
  • Blindbeth67
    I never miss an episode!
    This is my favorite podcast!!

    Absolutely love it
This podcast always satisfies my nerd side in few minutes. Thanks guys for producing such an amazing podcast! Keep it moving 💪

    New Hosts Need To Go
The new hosts style is a series of puns that make dad jokes look good. Within 2 weeks of the new hosts, even my kids asked to stop playing it. Their bad humor and fake feeling chemistry distracts from the interesting science. The show would be better if they just reported on science and cut out the jokes. This podcast is sinking fast. Listen to the reviews and change direction fast.
  • a_lyssa
    Great show
This is a fun show and I love the content. They did a wonderful segment about Down Syndrome that was great to share with a momma of an amazing little girl. Thank you for your positive comment about DS being neurodivergence and not something that needs a cure! It is the truth and needs to become main stream.
  • L.Mattler
    Thank you
I love how the two of you interact you guys can make me smile even on a bad day and I’ve had some pretty low day lately. I love the way you present the information! Definitely five stars I’d give you guys 10 if I could. It was difficult for me to find the place to rate the podcast I’m almost 50 and this is my first iPhone I’ve always had android.I would have given you guys five stars weeks ago! Again Thank you I really love the content and the delivery, and you two are just perfect !!!
  • Phocaspotty
    Too scripted
I like the topics and the research is informative but the new hosts are way too cheesy. It’s so bad that I usually can’t get through 1 episode. If I really want to hear a topic I skip to it. I’m sure they could be great but they really need to speak to adults. This is a clean podcast but it is not supposed to be directed toward children. They really sound like they belong on Sesame Street.

Used to like this more 😢
I still have not warmed up to the new hosts. I miss Cody and Ashley. They were quirky and it never felt like they were reading a script. It felt like they were having a conversation. New hosts are just not good. I have tried to get used to them but I mostly do not want to listen to new episodes. I like the content, but the hosts are so important and these two do not work.
  • Kapha
    It’s not the same anymore!
I am sorry but since Curiosity Daily has changed their team it is just not the same anymore. The new hosts are trying so hard to copy Cody and Ashley but you just don’t get it right. You’re not funny, the way you guys present is super dry and it’s very hard to listen to you without spacing out. I miss the last team because it was so easy and refreshing to listen to them. It was fun to learn something but unfortunately not anymore.
  • MKULTRA83
    Regurgitation of pop facts
    Interspersed with annoying naïve banter
  • bwh207
    Needs improvement
This podcast bills itself as a daily podcast when in fact there’s only three new episodes per week. If you have a podcast routine on Google home as I do that means you’re listening to repeat episodes for most of the week.

New writers and it’s gone down hill
Loved this podcast with the original crew. But when this new crew of cast and writers took over I found myself turning it off more than turning it on. The script is stilted and fake feeling. And I’m really tired of listening to “Explorers” tooting their own horns. I loved this podcast originally for its coverage of peer reviewed studies that were interesting. Now even on wed, we’re getting edited pieces of the Friday explorer stories instead of science content. Sad. This podcast has def gone from 5 to 3 stars. Now to find a different way to entertain my mornings with science.
  • _johnz
    I miss Cody and ashley
I thought it was just me... But seems like a lot of people are having a hard time with the new hosts. I tried my best giving it a shot. But it just doesn't have the same feeling. It doesn't seem natural and yes, cringy at times. I guess I'll just enjoy the old episodes and other podcasts.
  • Boomer22770
    Annoying!!!
I understand the hosts are trying to make learning new facts, interesting but they need to stop trying so hard. I just picked up this cast and could barely get through an episode because of the lame humor. Stop it. I felt this podcast was made for preteens and younger. Too silly and irritating for me, I’m out.👎
  • dinahbooboo
    listen to it everyday
still listening to older shows to catch up. its my go-to podcast while walking the dog. I learn some really awesome things about every science imaginable even though I am no spring chicken. Love, love, love it. The corny jokes have grown on me and I no longer groan (see what I did there....)
  • Flattery103
    Stop the bad jokes
The content is good, but the banter is so annoying that I don’t know if I can keep listening. An occasional joke is fine but these guys try to make a bad joke with every line they speak. Please stick more to the content!
  • PH414
    New to podcast
I stumbled upon this podcast and I like it. Quick bites of science. I like that the references are sourced in the notes so I can read more if I want. The banter between the hosts is a little hokey.
  • S’no flake
    Hate the mansplaining
I couldn’t even get through my first episode of corny jokes badly done and another man condescendingly explaining things to a women who is acting stupid. I love science podcasts but I won’t be subscribing to this one.
  • wheredidugetthisicon?
    New crew with awful jokes
Please stop “trying” so hard to be “funny”, coz the jokes are so lame, those are so forced, and don’t show characters of the casts or their personal hobbies. It used to be a charm of the old crew, especially cody, coz we knew his jokes are written/ made by him, from the things he’s really passionate about, like marvel heroes.
  • Carri0188
Love the content but the jokes are cringy
I love this podcasts and I don’t mind the new hosts but the jokes are forced and juvenile and I can’t handle it. A joke isn’t necessary every other sentence. Lose the lame jokes and just be real. The content itself is interesting enough.
  • Gori20
Used to love it, but new crew isn’t working for me
I used to be a daily listener for the longest time. The new crew (2022) is as if talking to children listeners, and i’m not sure even kids would appreciate the forced dumb-down goofy dialogue. It’s an UNFOLLOW path for me at this point, unfortunately.
  • Klsggggggg
Pls no more fake, corny jokes 😭
This podcast had the potential to be one of my favorites, lots of useful cool info. But I physically cannot listen to it because I cringe so hard at the forced “silly goofy 🤪” humor, think a 12 year old first discovering what puns are. Honestly the worst part isn’t just the jokes, it’s the forced laughter right after the joke as they lead into the next segment. Makes my skin crawl lol. But the hosts are both great and interesting to listen to otherwise - please stick more to the info, and just be more genuine / less forced with the humor, and I bet you’ll have more followers!
  • k_dub21
    Just too forced
Always love the information. The new hosts are just too awkward and force too many things. For having a previous show together, they just do not sound great. Sorry but unsubscribing.
  • ldweisberg
    New posts, who dis?
The show continues to be as entertaining with new hosts as it was with the old house but the cutesy banter is getting to be too much and too juvenile. Please tone it down. It almost becomes nauseating at times.
  • Kimo mom
    Content great, hosts… nope!
The new hosts sound forced, tinny, and trite. It does not make any sense why Cody and Ashley were replaced. I love the format and the content but I don’t enjoy the changes AT ALL.
  • JohnDav18
    Miss the old show.
Ashley and Cody were this show. It’s a shame that Discovery got rid of them only to keep this show going with some “sound-alike” hosts. I don’t know what went on behind the scenes here, but the outcome is this show ain’t what it was and idk if these new hosts are the right fit. They’re too similar to Ashley and Cody and for a rebrand like this I’d have preferred that they changed the entire format.
