Jeanniemac40Inner ChildThank you for the overview of the importance of tapping into the inner child work so vital in healing from trauma specifically childhood trauma. The 12 Step Program of Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families is a recovery community assisting those recovering from addiction as well as the core trauma issues of childhood family issues. The program supports the healing of the inner child though compassion and recognition that we can’t do this important healing inner work alone check out adult children.org

Jacobortiz23Insightful and rewardingAs someone new to my recovery journey, The Addicted Mind Podcast with Eric and Duane Osterlind has been truly life-changing. Each episode brings fresh perspectives on addiction, trauma, perfectionism, and shame—topics that deeply resonate with me. The discussions are raw, insightful, and filled with practical resources that I’ve already started incorporating into my life. Through this podcast, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of myself and, most importantly, a renewed sense of hope. Sean.AllenThank you for the work you doThis podcast as well as his other podcast, Helping Couples Heal have been a valuable resource for myself. An outlet as I work day in and out to enrich my life, as well giving to those I love around me. Bringing not only clarity and ownership to my weaknesses, but also accountability of my past and present actions and behavior. I believe it is Duane’s natural presence of being engaged, empathetic and vulnerable with his guests and as a host. Then offering compassionate advice and feedback that elevates the topic that is both relatable and genuine. So I just want to say thank you Duane for committing yourself to this field day in and day out . You have resonated throughout my journey, and I feel like you are resilient and unique in the amount of you you put into us.

Bffuhcc xhgzggzsxHopeful outlookMy 24-year old daughter has been addicted to cocaine for years. Everything she/we have tried to navigate toward health hasn’t worked. We are both listening to these podcasts and starting to chart a new course. She feels hopeful for the first time in a long time. Thank you so much for your thoughtful work.

Dash79dashNeed this so badI have been struggling with addiction and felt hopeless and shame and guilt and this opened up my eyes to all the trauma I have been carrying and escaping from especially with social media to numb the pain. Especial with a lot of people passing. This just not only gave me hope but the tools to work on myself and implement change in my life. 🙌❤️Thanks you.

ireneh68InformativeI learn so much from your podcast. Why are recovery programs so expensive though? A lot of people don’t get help because they cannot afford them. I keep sharing your podcasts with my son in hopes that one of these episodes will resonate with him and he will take his addictions seriously and understand he cannot do it alone. Keep up with the offerings of hope to the addicts and and their families because addiction is a horrible disease.

MakynziekayGreat for people in recovery or interested in mental healthI’ve just started listening from episode one. I’m enjoying it a lot, I wish the episodes were longer sometimes! I appreciate the singular theme of addiction and how it presents in many different types of people, not just drug addicts. Thanks for your commitment to this subject, will update my review when I’m done with the entire show! I’m in mental health education, and I am an alcoholic in recovery. This podcast is very helpful.

robbyb96Hit in the most amazing way!I have been listening to your podcast for probably over a year now, and it is amazing. But the episode today with Adam Jablin literally brought me to tears. My journey started 28 years ago, but my true recovery only started a few years ago. I have 10 years, after suffering a relapse (I had 9 years prior to that), and it was that lack of connection, that lack of spirituality that made me open to that relapse. Like Adam, I had everything when I relapsed, but I was also chasing that “more.” When he talked about that - I got chills. When he told the story about coming to his spirituality - I cried. I came to mine in full earnest about 4 years ago, watching my husband go through his battle with cancer and losing. But when that did not bring me down to drink again, I truly found my strength and my God. And that has saved me every day since. Now I too coach and mentor other alcoholics and addicts (and I hate the word “coach” too, LOL) and try to spread the message. Thank you for everything that you and your podcast do. It lifts up this addict every day, and you are truly a blessing to our recovery community. Namaste

JGhadery100% Essential For Anyone Who Values HealthFounder this podcast about four months ago and to say I’m addicted is an understatement. Physical health has been central to my career for 20+ years from the Marine Corps to being a corporate executive in the health and wellness industry. Mental health, while making more headlines and mainstream discussion (rightfully so) over the last few years, has been something I never paid much attention to as an ongoing exercise. Recently, I’ve been struggling with my own mental setbacks in various capacities. My behaviors follow my thoughts, and my thoughts are not as clear and productive when I’m struggling, mentally. This podcast has empowered me to accept my own mental health challenges, be kind to myself, reflect and think through better actions for myself, and ultimately, it’s provided me a form of mental exercise that I believe is improving my overall mind health one episode at a time. I’m very grateful for this podcast, the discussions, and the community supporting it. Thank you, and keep up the great work!

Idris AlbadufiAmazed by Duane’s dedicationListening to Duane’s podcast helped me find words to talk about issues and feelings I have lived with. I have been listening to his podcast while driving back home in the night. An indispensable companion in cold empty nights

hank4647Dr. M. Barta is OutstandingI have listened to the Addicted Mind for a couple of years. While my addictions tend to be process oriented I always benefit from hearing the various experiences of the individuals on these podcasts. Dwayne is understanding and very empathetic. The realization that my addictions developed from the emotional abandonment of my childhood help me feel better about myself. Being sexual abused as a four year old boy caused me to feel as damaged goods. This is a secret I tried to carry for over sixty years of my life. Thank God for the Addicted Mind podcast as work through the healing process.

Close the Marketing:Sales GAPMost Inspiring Podcast on AddictionThe Addicted Mind is one of the best podcasts I have ever heard on addiction - Host Duane Osterlind really knows how to ask stimilating questions that create a high energy dialogue with his guests - I particularly enjoyed his segment, Breaking the Stigma Around Addiction and Recovery in the Workplace with Cheryl Brown Merriwether, VP of the International Center for Addiction & Recovery Education (ICARE) - So many fresh and salient points were made. Thank you.
-

Migue35Life Changing-Eye OpeningThis podcast has changed my life. I discovered it six months ago and have developed the routine to listen to it at least 2-3 times a week. I am facing challenging moments in my life, finding myself on a no-way back road, so I had to recognize and embrace my addiction and call it by its real name without hiding it. I want to thank you to Duane and all the guests that have shared tremendous wisdom, and through their stories, I could find hope and coping mechanisms and relate to those friends who have experienced the same things as me. I am still trying every day; getting out of addiction is not an easy road, but I can tell you that I feel closer to myself every day, to my deep, authentic self. I realized how distracted I was in my life and changed that perspective. Then, all things around me started to change, little by little. Suppose you are going through a difficult moment facing any addiction (not only substance use). In that case, this podcast is amazing and eye-opening to educate yourself and give you more insight to take action every day in your life. Thanks again, Duane, for all that you do and the impact you make on this world through this podcast.

Jackson ItunesThe Addicted Mind Podcast ReviewI cannot express with words the amount if respect I have for this podcast. I am currently building awareness around my addicitons such as nicotine, THC, as well as sugar and other foods. One key thing I heard today was that recovery is not total adstinence, but is essentially a positive step towards recovery. Because relapse is a part of recovery & that has helped a lot with my perception of this life struggle. Love & thank you guys, and keep on keeping on❤️

JansweelinckAlways enjoy itAs a person in recovery (alcohol), I really enjoy this podcast. There are several recovery podcasts out there and my girlfriend and I have tried several. But the addicted mind podcast is always a good one, week in and week out. I appreciate the openness and vulnerability all on the podcast exhibit. As a member of a twelve step program, the podcast augments my recovery journey in a meaningful way. My long time girlfriend, who herself is not in recovery but is sober, always find something to better relate to my journey. Thank you!

Simplysue2For EVERYONEThis podcast is for everyone who has a brain/mind. We are all affected by addiction, not always the obvious ways. This podcast helps us dive deeper into how we function and how to recognize patterns that may be affecting us or people we love negatively. Duane is so good at breaking down sometimes complex topics into easily digestible chunks.
