An awesome series on the soundtracks. Gave me a new appreciation for the music of Bond. I still say Sam Smith’s song was fantastic. Apparently, I’m on an island all alone.

Great episode. This is one soundtrack I've had on cassette since it came out but never upgraded to CD. Luckily my cassette player still works, and it actually still sounds pretty good, listening-quality-wise. As this episode makes abundantly clear, it's quite an overlooked little gem and is soooooo late-80s/early-90s (more or less the same set of aesthetics 1989-1991 or so) it's like opening a vault and breathing in the air of yesteryear each time I put it on. One of my favorite things about this podcast is the chance to hear covers I never had before. The cover posted here of the title track is great - possibly better than the Gladys original. A few episodes back, that Tape Five cover of "A View to a Kill" was so good I've listened to it practically every day since. My two year old has been singing it, which is a sure sign he's destined for great things. Crooner-disco-Bond is manna from heaven. I have and study, to some extent, everything from Dr. No through License to Kill; everything beyond is not my specialty.)

I always get a kick out of the rookie/rogue agent podcasts. I also appreciate the straight reviews than Van and Alan do of the films. The music episodes are my second favorite part of the podcast behind rookie/rogue agents

I listen to the MI6 rookie agents podcast to remember what it was like to see these movies for the first time. I have seen them all so many times, and this is a great way to get a new perspective on some of my favorite movies. Highly recommended.

"On Her Majesty’s Secret Podcast" features a terrific variety of podcasts all about the James Bond universe. Some episodes feature book and film reviews while other episodes feature interviews with writers and comic artists. The "MI6 Rookie Agents" episodes feature two long-time 007 fans watching the movies in sequence with two new viewers who haven’t seen the movies. Every episode is great and we like the variety of hosts including Van, Jarrod, Jason, Pat, Delvin, and Alan. Highly recommended!
