DebikayoA great podcast that is always evolvingI really enjoy Danny’s podcast. It is always thoughtful, usually wry and witty and always entertaining. All the different guests and guest hosts have been enjoyable to listen to, Danny has a real ease with them. His reflections on art, art-making, the inner critic monkey that keeps you from making art, art supplies, and on and on are a great way to examine your art habit, or why you are avoiding it. Great job on the newest format this season. It was fun!

SomollyierInspirational and realArt for all is an exceptional name for this podcast by Danny Gregory. He shares what it means to him to be an artist and gives encouragement for those of us who yearn to be an artist too.I love how honest Danny was in this episode about all the times he started on his creative journey only to talk himself out of it. He explains how it just keeps bubbling back to the surface and he just could not not create things. If you need some encouragement you need to listen to art for all!

slwesselHow I got lost...how I got found”How easily we all forget what it felt like to be a small child doing artistic things all day. Before school, life was play, all art—imagining, coloring, pretending. And then school(s) happens, and we all lose our way. We find people we’re drawn to, but we don’t know why. This podcast, this episode especially, validates what we know to be true: we are meant to be creative. We find more people and experiment with what they do. It snowballs, and before we know it we have some work to call our own. Thanks again, Danny, for sharing your stories.

Lea532So worthy of your time!I just binged the entire first year of podcasts - and it resonated with me so much. Danny just gets it - and has an amazing way of communicating in a way that is both engaging and thought provoking. I’m a super fan!

Maggie in scInspiringI always find your talks thoughtful inspiring and soothing. Thanks for the encouragement and the peacefilled art talks!! 🥰

LotsoflightThought provokingNo fluff to this podcast. Instead Danny challenges us to think about what it takes to “be” an artist—the power of purpose and the need to move past the dream right into the action-mental emotional and physical-that it takes to make a living while making honest art

LauraLynn S.Noteworthy...from the heart.Note Worthy. Mental notes or physically written down, something here is going to have you crying out that this is a confirming word. As a growing artist, I have spent my share of time with textbooks and intellectual teachers. Ok I do need to learn technique. But, I can’t put into words why I even want to be a creative. Or how I know I’m called to it. Danny does the deep thinking for you or to be more exact, WITH you. “That’s me!” you’ll be saying. Because he gets it. In real time, he gets it. Humorous. Thoughtful. Real. Give a listen!

suzgibbsSupportiveSketchbook Skool and all the instructors are the most supportive creative group I have found for drawing and being brave in one’s own sketchbook and creative life. Bravo! I am so happy you are back on-line!

GoodGood Soulwhere have they gone???This was the podcast that gave me hope to become an artist. I wonder what happened to them?????

Cassandra64Fun to Art with a FriendThis has become my favorite podcast. It is just fun to create art while listening to Danny. He makes it seems like my art making is a legitimate activity, and it’s ok to make not great art. It’s ok to be in the learning phase. I’ve improved while listening to these podcasts, because I’m making more art, and being braver about just doing it. Exploring and playing is the focus, not a beautiful painting or sketch. (But I’m a little bit proud of a few of them, lol!)
-
louseeyAlways inspiringThis has become my go-to podcast when walking or when home creating. Always insightful and inspiring. Can't wait for season two and wish I was attending sketchkon.

molrydzAlways something to think aboutI think there are several factors that keep me coming back to listen to Art for All: 1. Incredible production value. The crumpling noises that broke up the chapters in the episode about paper really caught my ear and I’ve noticed that it only got better after that. 2. Thought-provoking consideration of topics relevant to everyone with a creative habit. I’ve been thinking about using labels and whether I can call myself an artist for weeks now, as well as wondering what it would take to make me a more generous artist (hence this review of someone else’s work ;) ). 3. Each episode is Full Danny: encouraging but a little demanding, i.e. do it for you but you deserve your best so do it with passion, inquisitiveness, and drive. I think this is the most important aspect for me. There are plenty of cheerleaders, and plenty of people who want to share technical skills, but this podcast will encourage you to go out and learn and practice something your own way.

AwriterafootFast becoming one of my favorite podcastsI'm a big fan of Sketchbook Skool, and this podcast is a welcome addition. It's such a great podcast about creativity, not just sketching or drawing or painting, but applies to any kind of creative life. I love it. Keep it up.
-
LMAuteryPaper!I just listen to the latest podcast on Paper and I have to say I think it’s brilliant. I laughed out load, learned some new facts and actually shed a tear about construction paper. Thanks Danny, that may be your best piece of art I have heard from you. The best!!
-
ahillnapNot for meThere’s a new trend that’s big on YouTube called ASMR. I’m not sure if that’s what Danny is trying to do, but it sure sounds like it. To be fair, he is trying to be uplifting. I just wish he’d talk normally, stop trying to be dramatic, and last but not least, stop making smacking sounds with his mouth and swallowing hard while podcasting.

tracyyatesAudio art inspirationLove this podcast! I stumbled upon it and I’m so happy I did. It led me to Sketchbook Skool and now I’m back in the habit of learning to draw. Danny is the best teacher!

Becky83316Me 2 a TI have all these wonderful ideas to make; but first - I have to declutter my home. DONE I have to donate things. DONE I have to strip the carpet out of my studio. DONE Now I get to redesign and paint my studio. I thought my new iPad Pro and pencil would get me on track. NO. But, I do have lots of pieces to put together to make art. Thank you for your honesty in your creative process. I’m not alone. Best good wishes Becky

romanlilyAccessible and encouragingThanks, Sketchbook Skool, for this accessible and encouraging podcast. You're paving the way for all of us to engage more regularly in our creative disciplines. The episode with Roz Stendahl was especially wonderful.

Scorponock 555Art for You — Yes, You!I am a big fan of Danny Gregory and Sketchbook Skool. I was very happy when this podcast was announced, because I love listening to Danny while working. His gentle reassurance that creative endeavors are not the realm of the select gifted few, but something ANY of us can do, has kept me going through a lot of self doubt. When my inner critic becomes too loud, Danny and crew are there to give me the lift I need. Highly recommended to anybody wondering if now is the time to return to (x) creative pursuit. The answer is yes, yes it IS time. And Danny, Koosje, and the SBS community can help you really believe that.
-
Desert GrammyJust makes me smileI’ve taken several courses at Sketchbook Skool. Each one has been such an inspiration....full of tips and ideas.
