ShoopannJean Rhys: Voyages in the DarkI eagerly await every episode and have been listening since the very beginning of your podcast. I became acquainted with Slightly Foxed through Readers’ Day years ago and have loved your publications, your books, your podcast and your staff. I especially enjoyed this episode about Jean Rhys. How fascinating! I wanted to wish Anna many good wishes in her journey ahead. I lived in Brussels when I began following you but now am in the US (still planning on attending RD) and Anna was one of the first friendly faces I met. She is so sweet and always helpful and delightful to see. I looked forward to seeing her each year! As with each of you. I hope our paths cross again. Good luck, Anna, and thank you! Thank you all for your suggestions, your hard work and sharing your love of books and authors and reading with all of us. Happy New Year!! Hope to see you in November! Cheryl Prince

trillionshelperBEST LITERARY PODCASTThank you for your brilliant podcast, a pleasure to listen to and I hav discovered so many books thanks to your podcast and journals. My only critique: the podcasts are too infrequent!
-
ansleystreetpressWonderful podcastI listen to the episodes over and over while making journals in my kitchen in Decatur, Georgia, USA.

a fellow book dragonI return to it over and over again.I simply can not find a more delightful literary podcast out there. I subscribe to their quarterly, and gift myself their books every Christmas. The conversation is simulating, and the book recommendations are exactly suited to my tastes. The ladies, and their guests, are as knowledgeable as they are elegant. My only complaint is that they stopped doing one every month, but I find myself re-listening. We’ll done!

Rebecca BrosnanSheer JoyThis podcast has a special way of making the very best of our collective culture as approachable as an afternoon cup of tea with friends.

Elswyth TEngaging!!!!I love, love, love this podcast. There are so many interesting profiles of books shared on this podcast, that I find myself pausing and writing notes and looking things up, almost throughout. My favorite episode so far is The Golden Age of Crime Writing, episode #33. Anyone who loves to read will expand their knowledge, increase their vocabulary and find tons of new books to enjoy, just by listening. I am on my way to the Library NOW. Enjoy!

travelswithteaStimulating & CozySo marvelous and stimulating but also cozy - as if I’m sitting round the fire with kindred spirits. I love this podcast! Never stop.

silver marmosetBrilliant, bright, warm, intelligentThe perfect comfort-listen when you want something that knows its mind, but knows it over a cup of tea and a biscuit. Gently conversational but never shying away from depth, Slightly Foxed is like a conversation with your most intelligent friend—thoughtful and full of new ideas, but never talking down to you or asking you to drop literary names with aplomb. The podcast has just been getting better with time—The Winter’s Tale episode is my absolute favorite, with a new takeaway each time; I’m listening to A Writer’s Territory now and love that too. Brilliant guests, brilliant podcast.

ZephyrlyDelightful!Everything about this podcast is simply lovely. I discovered it while looking for book-related podcasts a couple years ago, and it soon became one of my all-time favorite podcasts. The hosts and guests are so knowledgeable that each episode is educational and fascinating. I love the book recommendations segment and always end up with new books I’ve never heard of to add to my list. A charming, relaxing podcast that will help increase your curiosity and sense of wonder about the world.

Cenizo99Jewel of a podcast.I enjoyed listening to the interview with Margaret Drabble and will listen to others. Thoughtful interview questions. Thank you.
-
TianJoy75So much fun!But really hard on my budget. I binged on 9 episodes in one day and then bought large quantities of books that had been recommended. Listening to this podcast is such a delightful way to spend the afternoon. I love the interviews on various topics and the book recommendations but my favorite part is the dramatic reading. Fantastic podcast Slightly Foxed. Thank you!

beka_bookloveAbsolutely delightful! The equivalent of a cup of tea, a stack of great stories, a gorgeous dog, and a crackling fireplace on a snowy afternoon. This podcast as been a lifesaver - one to savor and return to again and again in between episodes.
-
chowmeyowMust listen for all bookish sortsThis is the loveliest bookish podcast, produced by the wonderful folks who bring us Slightly Foxed Quarterly. I look forward to each podcast: it’s cheerful, fun, informative, and cozy. I only wish there was more than one episode per month!

LizzieCharJust re-listening, they're THAT good!I didn't get a book loaded on my phone yesterday and so I went to listen to February's podcast which I hadn't yet gotten to. I was haviang such a good time on my long drive that I re-listened all the way back to November! I love that they are not all about the MOST CURRENT THING - my young son told me once that if it's lasted more than 75 years, it MUST be good, so now I'm catching up! They have wonderful suggestions for well-written books that maybe aren't on the shelf at your local. I've found beautiful works and wonderful authors and am never disappointed with the podcast or their suggestions. Keep it coming!

Brm2010Grab your cup...and sit down with your well read friends who are about to indulge in the best bookish conversation you’d have around a quaint kitchen table, dogs and all. It’s the best gem of a podcast I’ve ever found, and I’m now a die hard fan wishing that their magazine was sold locally (US). Eagerly looking forward to each episode, and so love that their conversations aren’t smeared with agendas. Just good book talk, and recommendations that have toppled my TBR pile and will rob my bank account.

GambitxxA treasure I did not expect to find...I hope my beloved wife does not find out, but I think I have fallen in love with this podcast.

MamaandSofiThe 15th of the month can’t come fast enoughWhat can I say that would do this group justice? I adore everything about this podcast! The dog noises, the door bell and all the girls talking about what they are reading and what they recommend. I close my eyes and I am there! Pleas do yourself a favor and listen to them!
-
Burleith20007A delightful timeThis oh-so-British and so wonderfully bookish podcast is a gem. I’ve gone back and listened to all available episodes, and will likely relisten. It’s smart, clever, gentle, and charming — the perfect accompaniment to my walks, not to mention being a great source for off-the-beaten-path book recommendations. Highly recommended.

Mildred LathburyDelightful podcastAs a devoted subscriber to the Slightly Foxed quarterly for several years now, I always eagerly look forward to the arrival of a new issue, and ever since I have discovered this podcast, I now look forward just as eagerly to the arrival of a new podcast on the 15th of every month. If you love the quarterly, as I do, you will love the podcast — and if you’re not familiar with either the quarterly or the podcast, do yourself a favor and get to know them without delay.
-
Dra NgiponWhen you can’t read but want toAs a subscriber to their quarterly, i am not disappointed by their round table discussions about books and the publishing of books. Best of all is the list of recommendations at the close of each. And darn if they don’t cost me money every time.
-
ShermanmkI love this podcastI love the the vibe of this podcast as these women and their guests discuss books and authors around their kitchen table with the dogs (and cat) in the background. So real and so informative regarding authors no one ever talks about anymore but who deserve to be dug out of the archives for a fresh look. The book recommendations at the end never disappoint. I’m so hoping to get a Foxed Quarterly subscription for Christmas!
-
kaus03My Favorite PodcastI’m so happy I found this podcast! Very interesting and I can’t wait to hear the book recs at the end. I look forward to more.
