    Too one sided
I’ve listened to all the episodes and there’s a lack of balance between the interviewer and guest. The guest will speak for long periods of time without any interaction with the interviewer. I thought this would be more conversational like Terry Gross on Fresh Air. And the same question is often asked, “what would you tell your younger self?” Maybe this is intended but without any interjection by the interviewer, some of the guests tend to drone on. The interviewer needs to actively participate in the conversation to keep it from getting too monotonous.

    Jimmy Wofford , hero horseman!
Thank you for a wonderful podcast with Jimmy Wofford! I so enjoyed the opportunity to clinic with him in the 70’s & 80’s riding a Nez Pierce Appaloosa . Fun to know his mother had bought him one too! That appy made me one clever rider and Jimmy always had a nice thing to say about our partnership.

    Thank You PH!
I am so grateful for the content and interviews that Practical Horseman produces on their podcast. Not having a ton of time to sit down and read content, your podcasts are such a valuable learning tool on the go for me. The interviews are thoughtful, interesting and educational. I can’t wait for each new one to be released. Thank you so much for doing what you do- please keep it up!

    Great program
Love the wide-ranging perspectives and discussion. Very motivating! Hope you will work on sound engineering - interviewer usually much louder so endless volume adjustment. But love the seties.

    New favorite podcast!
The hosts are excellent interviewers with thoughtful questions and introductions, and the guests are well-chosen. I really appreciate that professional journalists/editors are hosting this podcast, they do a fantastic job of letting their guests' stories shine through.

Please get a decent sound system.
I love the people, the topics and the great information but listening is a hassle. I am constantly having to adjust the sound level to hear and understand the speaker

Great Idea - Poor Audio Quality
I'm so excited for Practical Horseman to throw their hat into the podcast arena! I've listened to both podcasts, and so far loved them! But as other reviewers have mentioned, the audio quality needs to be improved before listeners are turned off and stop tuning in. The wind in the first podcast, and then the background noise in the second one made it tough to even hear the interview. And, I agree that the interviewer is maybe not the right fit. I'm sure PH will continue to improve and I can't wait for the next one!

    Good content, TERRIBLE sound quality
I really hope that this podcast will invest in better microphones and editing. The host interviews top riders in the major English riding disciplines, but the audio quality is so poor that it’s hard not to miss some of their insights. Honestly , it’s almost unlistenable. It desperately needs better sound capture. A good editor could also remove a lot of the chaff, allowing the good stuff to get more focus. Finally, I’m not sure the host is a natural interviewer. She seems to be reading prepared questions off a sheet rather than having a conversation. Obviously, that preparation is a good thing, but when we can hear it and when it generates stilted questions and responses, it’s not so great. I suspect these are all side effects of this being a new venture, and I hope they will improve over time. I love the magazine, and I hope the podcast will eventually reflect the polish and professionalism I’ve always found in its print form.

Super Excited - but hoping for improvements*
I love PH and am so excited for this podcast!! I’ve listened to both episodes already and love the content! My only critique is that the sound quality isn’t the greatest. I have faith that it will improve and fingers crossed it will!! Thanks so much for this new form of media for PH!

    He’s a legend
I could listen to George Morris all day. I have seen him in clinics, read books, and his articles. True to his word and discipline. I’m a fan of his honesty and have a respect for his craft because it works. You don’t mess with classic.
