Love the hosts and the events they cover

1. A calming and enjoyable narrative voice. Would be a great solo podcaster. Versus 1. sidekick providing useless banter. 2. Steeped in personal bias and negativity that, it omitted, would vastly improve the finished product.

the way yall defended that abusive man & tried to humiliate the woman is disgusting. y’all wanna preach accountability, but whose abusive actions put all of this into motion? i will not be listening again & im gonna encourage everyone i put on to this show not to listen either

ORIGINAL CONTENT, INTELLIGENT, SUPER RESPECTFUL, INFORMED, also they occasionally quote Terry Pratchett…so they obviously have great taste. BINGEABLE.

As someone who works in the field of death investigation, I’m pretty picky with what podcasts I will give my limited time to, especially when I know facts of many cases and they’re all wrong. This show is well researched and well written, I mean every episode. It’s consistently great material. The humor is next level, I’m a hard laugh. Thanks for getting me through some tough shifts, it’s very validating to feel like I’m not alone in my frustration, but for once by someone who may not be in the same field I am. Anyway, thank you, you are seriously sick at what you do. Xoxo

These girls are amazing story tellers. They go into insane detail and bring many different perspectives to the story. Katie I love your jokes and Whitney you are amazing!!

A very entertaining podcast with 2 engaging and insightful hosts. They are great storytellers and their commentary is always spot on. They eviscerate the perpetrators with their accurate assessments and give them the comeuppance that they so richly deserve. This is a 10 star podcast.

Their approach to the stories they cover for annoying and disrespectful, as well as inaccurate.

Good podcast but one of the host tries too hard to be funny and it’s a miss Every. Single. Time. It’s cringy and annoying. Other than that, I enjoy the podcast! Update - I just can’t with Katie. The fake laughs, cringy jokes, sound effects, dramatic storytelling.. unfollow. ✌🏽

The constant “jokes” make these episodes occasionally tough to get through. I get that you think you’re both hilarious, but I wish you’d just tell the stories.

New listener here, and I’m so glad I found this podcast! The hosts are very good narrators, much better than many other shows I’ve listened to. They get right to the stories and interject appropriately funny banter in between. The hosts alternate telling parts of the story and the flow between them is really smooth. I like that it feels like the hosts are down-to-earth people (as opposed to the “influencer affect” that so many podcasters have these days). I’m currently binging older eps and loving it. Thanks, ladies! 💜

I discovered True Crime Campfire earlier this year and I cannot get enough of it! Katie and Whitney are hilarious and every time I listen to their podcast, I feel like I’m hanging out with a couple of girlfriends. Keep up the compelling storytelling!

Great hosts with a good friendship makes for awesome story-telling. They are respectful and humorous at the same time. And they tell it like it is!

I love how they constantly make fun of the horrible individuals they talk about. Because let’s be real… all of these people ARE losers and lame!!!! I find that other podcasts simply say the typical “they were a monster” or “devil reincarnated” which is true BUT they are also loner A-Holes who give off crusty Cheeto finger vibes. Bring back online bullying!!

I’m a super picky podcast listener & I can say confidently I always look forward to Fridays with Katie and Whitney! The story telling is both compelling and hilarious. The stories they pick are unique, I’ve rarely ever heard of them. This is my absolute favorite true crime podcast!

These girls are great at telling a story. I really wanted to like this show. However, their forced jokes just don’t hit. Filled with disrespect and humor that is not even close to funny.

I love this show! Everything I am thinking hearing about these vile criminals- they say out loud. Though, it’s unsettling to hear my thoughts out loud - I am obsessed.

A friend recommended this show 3 years ago and I have been a fan ever since. I’ve in turn recommended to at least a dozen people and they all are also obsessed. Great research, storytelling and banter.

I had never listened to a podcast before and then I went on a cross country road trip with my sister. She downloaded a bunch of episodes of TCCF for the dead zones on the roads. Dudes. These gals are FABULOUS. And funny. And well researched. And RESPECTFUL of victims. Not every story is about murder, which I love. I raced through the back catalog and had to try other podcasts— I haven’t found one that I love as much as I love our camp counselors Katie and Whitney. Thank you ladies, I’m a big big fan! Thank you for all you do, and PLEASE do more historical ones! Also, I’d love stickers of some of your sicker burns.

I love this show. It’s my absolute favorite.

I would have loved to have given a good review, but unfortunately I can’t stand when a podcaster has to give their negative name calling opinions about people who have NOTHING to do with their podcast. (Stranger in the Mirror episode for context) There was absolutely no reason for you to have gone off the way you did about Oli London. Whatever your opinion is about people (with the exception of the murders you talk about), no need to talk about other people. It’s just trashy.

I’m sorry, but even though some of the stories are interesting in none of themselves, I just always get the sense that these casters are trying to be funny. And nothing is less funny than someone trying to be funny. The rhetoric is forced, the humor baseless. I’m out.

This show and these ladies are hilarious. Content, discussion, logic, hilarity and humanity make this show the best so far. The chemistry and humor are contagious while at no time do these host’s ever marginalize the victims or crime. Their intellect is palpable, I just love them. And we aren’t spoon fed their moral judgements and political positions like certain other shows. My new favorite podcast on crime. Update: still the very best true crime podcast.

Update: I still love this podcast! I’m still rationing my unplayed episodes and my only small complaint is that I wish there was more listener content. Keep up the great work ladies! True crime podcasts are so ubiquitous these days that you can’t scroll through a social media outlet without bumping into a few suggested ones. True Crime Campfire hits all the notes! It’s a good mix of material, humor, host personalities, and audio engineering. I’ve listened to nearly episode and I’m not tired or annoyed by them at all. I’m carefully rationing the remaining unplayed episodes and it’s taking everything I’ve got. My only complaint? Make more! Please!

My favorite true crime podcast. They tell the story well and easy to follow.

The first time I listened to this podcast these girls reminded me SO MUCH of my best friend Heaven and I. They’re hilarious, witty and so much fun! This podcast is the go to listen when my husband and I are driving around or sitting around the house existing in our spaces together. 10/10 do recommend.

Great commentary, fun banter, but mellow enough to go to sleep to which is the key and a delicately fine line to do so well. Absolutely enjoy these two.

Unlike other podcasts, these ladies roast all murderers instead of fangirling over them. They also fully research their topics instead of reading me the Wikipedia page with commentary. I truly think it’s one of the best TC podcasts out there!

This is the only podcast I recommend repeatedly! It’s also the only podcast my husband enjoys listening to when I play it without AirPods. Katie and Whitney alway make me laugh, which I find refreshing considering the content discussed! Keep it up, ladies! You two are seriously my favorite!!
