milktoastratThe episode names are hella confusing.Loved you guys a long time but would appreciate some standardized episode titles like “Andor 1x3 - blah blah blah”. When you have a mixed feed it helps to figure out what the episode is. Thanks guys.

afozarkWon overI was previously mad at this podcast because of the hosts’ negativity. After listening to sycophants elsewhere fawning over every single thing about every episode, I now am a ToT convert. Five stars for a more objective realism!

Valvane JimGullible gonna gullibleA-Ron literally set his own well being on fire by spouting proven disfirmonrmation from Mother Maddow. Im sure Mother Maddow has also told him the twitter files are “baseless” and “right wing”. None of this manipulation would be possible without her appealing to narcissism. “We’re the smart ones” 😂😂😂

Coco NolaGet off my lawn is accurateThe 2023 version of the old men that were having a fit during the prequel era. Gripes, nitpicking and overall miserable attitudes. But the funniest part is that one of them actually said that their views represent “90% of the (Star Wars)fan base.” Almost every episode begins or ends with them saying that they’re just way too cool to watch any Star Wars animated content, then complaining that they don’t understand something, then asking listeners to email them a brief summary of content they refuse to watch themselves. They are pretty funny, and one of them talks like he’s chewing his tongue, but in a cute way. I’ll probably keep listening.

Zultan1!3May the force be with you, alwaysThese guys are starwars fans giving entertaining feedback. I like that they embraced the if you don’t like this podcast “get off my lawn” attitude. Since with anything starwars positive or negative people are gonna come for you. keep up the good work !

Q PishawNegative DrivelRun away…don’t listen! Too much whining! These two need to quit podcasting ! Huge waste of time. I kept hoping it would improve…I was wrong….

Firewire19AngryIf you would like to listen to one person complain about every aspect of Star Wars and claim to be a fan while the other tries to downplay all the negative comments made by the first host this is the show for you.

Blue cat 54Marrok theoryMorgan Elsbeth is a witch and the popular theory is that she conjured up Marrok. Since he was a spirit instead of a person, he turned to dust when struck down. You guys were a little less negative in Episode 4, but I still think you should either watch the animated shows or listen to other podcasters that did rather than just speculate wildly without knowing the background.

A-man2120Great podcastA lot of folks left reviews complaining that Jim and A.Ron should watch Rebels to know more and help them enjoy the show. I (and likely these guys) don’t have hours to rewatch cartoons for a show that should be able to stand on it’s own legs and not need me to go BACK and rewatch hours of episodes to know what’s going on. I do like this show more than they seem to, but there are some things that don’t make sense because I didn’t watch Rebels. And I don’t plan to. And that’s ok 👍

Martin BechlerBad Ahsoka coverageListening to this Ahsoka coverage is rough. It’s clear they have no interest in REBELS, and Ahsoka IS essentially Rebels season 5. So what’s the point? “I don’t like the mural” — it’s literally from the last scene of Rebels. Come on guys. Do your homework. Don’t rest in your “I read the now non-canon books” laurels. Take a break from your Zombie coverage and watch Rebels to prepare for this pod. Until then, this is worse than a waste of time, it’s wrongheaded and erroneous analysis.

Darkness11034Not Worth the ListenI normally love the Bald Move tv show podcasts. I first found them when I was looking for a good GoT pod and Jim and Aron were incredible. Sadly when it comes to Star Wars it’s not worth the time to listen to them. My main issue with them is their complete disdain for the Clone Wars and Rebels cartoons and they really let it show during their Tribe of Two recordings. Those shows both critical pieces to the canon. For them to brush them off they have lost all credibility to be able to talk meaningfully about anything Star Wars related. They also don’t have the true perspective of how the Mandoverse fits into everything. It is their right not to watch Clone Wars or Rebels but if you are a true fan don’t waste your time with this piece of garbage. Their protégés, the Lorehounds, have a better appreciation and understanding of the current shows. Listen to them instead.

MillenniOldThis is the way! (So original, I know)I used to listen to these guys back during the GoT era. They’re just as good now as they were then. They clearly like the show but are also critical of it at the same time. Which is good. Who wants a podcast that heaps praises on it just because it’s Star Wars (or vice-versa)? I want good Star Wars commentary and that involves criticism for stuff the show didn’t get right.

Barry DelmarKeep it up!Love A-ron and Jim

snb525Over CriticalIt’s wild to listen to the two of them destroy the show for 15 minutes in the beginning of every podcast and then as they discuss the actual episode say how awesome it was. Star Wars has always been made for young audiences and nothing has changed. Hopefully It will always feels slightly stupid and simple. Take a deep breathe!!! It’s all made up!
-
Bkmike68Do you even like the show? The whole podcast you sarcastically criticize, question and nitpick everything
-
Calistar72My pplI was so happy you felt the same about ep 3 found u HOTD and knew I needed more!!
-
delp5117Seem DisinterestedI like the Last of Us pod from these folks! Lots of depth and good takes. However, they don’t seem to be into the Mandalorian that much. “The smith” is actually named “The Armorer,” and is a pretty major character in the show. I get you didn’t like Boba, but if you are going to just mail it in with little effort why bother?
-
Penny O.Why are you covering something you don’t like? They go out of their way to nitpick. Toxic dudes.
-
PishawPiss pourTheir own words….That about sums up this sad and sorry excuse for a podcast. Don’t bother with this pompous whining …

average viewer(s)Getting Tougher…I like you guys. Your coverage has made some of my favorite shows better—Stranger Things, Leftovers, the Boys, Westworld etc. But I’m noticing a trend starting with the last season of GOT. If something does not meet your personal expectations of what you hoped a show would be or how you thought it might turn out, you rip it to shreds. That doesn't make you better critics—it makes you fan commentators who stick their nose up at the content because the creative team didn’t satisfy your every want. You only seem to discuss a show in a neutral or positive light if the show goes in the direction you wanted it to. If that’s what your shows are going to be—fine. But I liked you better when you took the shows as they came and enjoyed the experience of watching with the rest of us.

ChadM71Wow. Stop getting your feelings hurt.Jim and Aron. At one time I loved your podcast. You’re problem Is expecting Star Wars is something different than it is. If you want gore and Twi-lex sex than go somewhere else. Not sure why you need to think this series should go blue. There’s plenty of other outlets for that. Grow up and get the bigger picture.

Around thereToo BadThese guys have been interesting before, on their other podcasts, but they are very confused, maybe due to a head injury or illness. This podcast is set up for fans of the Star Wars to come in and hear discussion about the show they are enjoying but these guys have hours, and hours of complaining about the Book of Boba Fett. It is not rocket science that the Book of Boba Fett is part of a larger narrative. These guys seems continually confused by this. I hope that they heal up and the next podcast they make is less obtuse and tangental to the subject.
-
Bad Wolf 09Don’t botherThis is a negative review podcast about The book of Boba Fett,And they also ripped on marvel shows,Why review something you don’t like!!!
-
Blaze WildfireGreat podcast!Been listening to the BaldMove guys for years and they never fail me. Always give great honest reviews of the tv/movie they watch. Will praise the highlights, but not afraid to critique flaws. Exactly what I look for from these podcast. Keep up the great work guys!!!

Donny is realFellas…Something is happening to you two. I love the casts, as I listen to many shows, but I feel the nitpick has reached a Walking Dead level. I still love you guys, but I am afraid you two are turning into Statler and Waldorf. The worst part of this: Chapter 6 and you guys don’t know Cad Bane? That, and you don’t even speak much of this character. The rival he has with Boba Fett. No R2-D2 discussion? Self proclaimed Star Wars geeks and this? Shame, Shame, Shame, Shame! Is this the best series? No, it is not. Is it enjoyable? Yes, it is. Cast it for what it is. This isn’t The Expanse after all, it’s Disney Star Wars.

JustinEApexGreat PodcastJim and A. Ron are the best I’ve ever encountered at breaking down incredibly dense material with rich history like GOT and Foundation. A. Ron’s depth of knowledge as a published GOT author is incredible and unmissable and this duo’s coverage of Foundation is essential if you want a rich understanding of Asimov’s world. However, I think what they suffer from here is a need to have a different take than the thousand other Star Wars podcasts digging into the Easter Eggs in Boba Fett. To not mention BK, Tosce Station, or the implications of the Pyke syndicate in this world is curious since I know A. Ron knows all about them, but I’d say, like always, they trust us to already know all that and they want to mention some other stuff, which is totally fine.

retneaemankicnYou don’t need to pick every nitI really enjoyed Jim & Aron’s GoT podcast, but they’ve taken that same overly-critical, negative approach to The Mandalorian. Side note: Jim mentions heating up the beskar armor to kill the wearer, it became clear to me that neither of them have watched Star Wars Rebels, because there’s literally an entire arc about exactly that. I’m not one to patronize, but if you’re discussing The Mandalorian, you should probably watch the other Star Wars shows that Dave Filoni has produced &/or directed.
-
Jimmie fife18Tough listenLoved you guys on your GoT reviews and Westworld bc they were fair and very introspective but I gotta say this recap podcast has been tough. Feels like just the most casual fan trying to act like a hardcore fan. The nitpicking feels more like “this show is dumb why is anyone watching it??” Rather than a legitimate gripe. Like c’mon you guys are the only two “fans” I know that don’t like the score of the show. 3 stars only bc I respect the craft and and your guys previous work.

Phenom001Great Podcasters, but....I love Jim and A.Ron. They are always one of the first podcasts that I subscribe to when watching a new show, but I've noticed a trend. Starting with about the second half of their Walking Dead Podcast, they've taken on an increasingly negative tone on shows. I can understand it with TWD, but they've started to nitpick every little detail of every show now. They've turned into the Debbie Downers of Podcasters. I'm trying to hang, but it's getting hard fellas
-
Alexgators1Great listenOne of the many Baldmove podcasts I subscribe and listen to. These guys are entertaining and insightful.
-
Chase RobinsonLovin ItI love listening to these boys go through a series. Mandalorian is no exception. They always help me get more out of the show.
-
Robert Henry HoltzSo grateful for the podMakes watching a show even better
-
JoshHeterThe Ideal Cast for this.Jim & Aron are huge (OT) Star Wars fans, but they won’t just bend the knee to anything Star Wars. They are 2 very thoughtful consumers of media in general (and Star Wars in particular). If you want to enhance your experience of The Mandalorian, give this cast a listen.
