Jenter.I love the diiv podcastThis is so amazing. Thanks for brining it back. There is something parasocial about this podcast that I’m not afraid to say I really enjoy. I love the music and I had no expectations but was blown away by the podcast. I always learn something and not just about music. There’s also la/nyc insight as well as current events and social justice. The album reviews are deep and meaningful. Theyve gotten me into some great artists and not just the ones listed on the titles. The artists perspective is enlightening and adds a level of appreciation to the bands I didn’t have before

.::KayleeC::.Why?This could have been a truly outstanding podcast. I have no idea why they stopped and didn't let the fans know.

MenschyStimulatingDiiv is on a short list of bands I liked right away, from the opening notes of their debut, Oshiin. Their podcast walks the lines between intellectual and pretentious, acerbic and inclusive. They talk about their influences with depth and appreciation in a way that me consider them more seriously as working musicians. I get the vibe that the band would read this review and shred it, but in a way I would ultimately have to concede was amusing, thoughtful, bracing and articulate.

mike🌞Wise DIIV knows the vibesAmazing podcast boys super hyped on it. Always taking about some meaningful stuff not only DIIV fans will appreciate but anyone that enjoys music really. Good to listen to to spark some ideas and blunts. Bless up🙏🏼
-
ShukedaddyRealI’ve always been a fan of their music, but never knew much about the band members. This is super chill, good vibes kinda show, and the guys are all really thoughtful and think outside the box. Diiv has the ultimate millennial cool kid perspective, and this show feels like you’re just kicking it with friends.

jechalitDIIV Dudes are RadLove this podcast a lot, so refreshing to hear a band in the modern “shoegaze” scene actually break down themes of culture, politics, and art throughout the different episodes. Especially as a non-white queer listener, I really applaud them for using this platform creatively and explicitly analyzing themes of feminism, LGBTQ issues, and even labor rights through music. So important in my opinion for artists to be outspoken about these things, and hearing one of my favorite bands share stories of how music has radicalized them (Sonic Youth episode) is just dope. Keep it up DIIV and can’t wait to hear more!

jsmaackGreat!I’m a music nerd and it’s just really cool to hear one of my favorite bands talking about their favorite bands, which are also my favorite bands :)

__keegUtterly insightful. This podcast is deliberate yet wonderfully human; each member of DIIV contributes to the dialogue with meaningful and nuanced thoughts. It is ASMR level calming, humble, and deeply honest. It’s hard for 4 musicians to discuss anything without projecting a cringeworthy narcissism, but these guys continue to do so without exhausting their airtime. It is also incredible that 4 people can talk without interruption, a testament to the level of respect they must have for each other. Love you guys <3

dewylyfeA deep dive into DIIV ;)This podcast is such an incredible listen. It’s great hearing DIIV talk about topics related to the band and their thoughts on politics and art. They’re so smart and interesting that I always look forward to the next episode.

rocksandwoksSmart, different, cool formatTldr; check out this pod. Backstory: I've seen this band once (amazing) but I wouldn't call myself a big fan. But I gave this show a listen when it popped up on Twitter and I was really impressed. It's articulate and thoughtful, and it's music-involved without being just about music. I think this podcast is a new model and we are going to see more of it in the future--bands expanding to produce more products than just albums or merch. Like to hear these guys talk, and there is some good music to keep the convo going to and to keep the show cohesive. Highly recommend.

gator878Loved thisWas midway thru this podcast when Biden got elected yesterday. Finished listening to the rest first thing this morning. So much fun listening to you guys talk and create new music again. I will be watching in future and def pay for content.
-
ACL0307Right OnExactly the right note to strike right now. Would be sick to just be sitting around kicking’ it with the guys, chatting thoughts POVs on things, since there are no shows or much new music (yet!). So, BIG thanks for this. And to have some Robert Smith/Cure tie-ins… the cherry on top. Total score! Come back to play BK asap ✌🏼(
-
jrmyprkrvery good and niceI mean even if you’re not a DIIV-head, this is an objectively very good podcast for anyone who enjoys music and the experience of listening to it at any depth. Bless.

-
HookerjimNormal GuysReally cool way to hear from the band how they are feeling amid the pandemic and not being able to tour etc. Specifically enjoyed them discussing the Cure’s music. How the levels were mixed on vox etc. Such a rad personal way to reach people. Well done guys. Looking forward to more!
