If you made 100 seasons I’d listen to them all
Love this pod. So nice to have a true crime podcast host that is not annoying.

    great podcast
it’s not often a podcaster makes it his mission to help but this guy does! kirk minihane does an excellent job of explaining the cases and in an objective way. you can tell he has a passion for justice, and truly cares about the people who have died in the cases he works on. i can’t wait to hear what the next season brings.
  • OllieandBear
    Turtleboy? Really?
That man has said some seriously atrocious things about young women. Disappointed you had him on your show.

    The most memorable podcast
This is the most deeply unnerving disturbing heart wrenching and memorable podcast I’ve ever listened. It is also extremely under rated. I listed to this a long while back and after just listening to another podcast episode about eerily similar unsolved case “Rachel cook” i had to come back and find this podcast again leave a review. I listen to ALOT of podcast and this is one I think about it all the time. It was SO well done, so much information and so heart breaking. I think it’s such an import podcast to listen to and I think it was really a big deal these guys to bring attention to this case when no one else seems to be doing anything. I wish this case and this podcast got more attention. I hope the guilty parties face justice but I don’t see it happening. But the story being told is so important Please listen to this podcast. It’d be great if you guys came back for another season too to tell more stories like these that seem to be swept under the rug.

    Good, but…
Speech pattern and enunciation makes it surprisingly tricky to follow

    Interesting case, rambling hosts
Interesting case but honestly after the first episode everything else is essentially a stream of consciousness from the hosts. They talk more about themselves and their process to make the podcast than they do about the actual case.

    Kirk is a HERO
It has been said but it can’t be said ENOUGH! What Kirk has done and is doing is incredible. The state of Massachusetts needs to recognize his service to the commonwealth. Keep fighting the good fight and never stop digging!

Good podcast, crudely assumptious at times
I think this is a good podcast and it does important work to put stories out there. However, I think it is completely inappropriate to say a victim’s family does not care as much because they will not speak to a podcast. My mouth was on the floor when I heard you say that.

One of the most gripping podcasts out there
This story is unreal, as is the quality of reporting on it from this podcast.just listen to it. Absolutely amazing.

    Great work
I disagreed with Kirk often in his WEEI DAYS, but always respected his honesty. His work getting justice for these girls on both Seasons of the case is NOBLE and amazingly professional

    Very Jumpled
Good stories but very all over the place and hard to follow. A lot of random jumbled talking. Couldn’t get through it.
  • Pads Paws & Claws
    Good but…
Interesting story, well researched and told. The only thing I don’t like is that your speech is garbled a lot and very fast. I think this may be an accent, but if you would slow down just a bit, and enunciate your words better, it would be much more enjoyable to listen to. This is meant to help not to be critical.
  • jennisizzler
Unclear and repetitive, had to abandon ship
First four episodes are super repetitive, too many random characters that are not clearly related to the rest of the story, LOTS of time spent repeatedly interviewing a drug addicted man who is not a reliable reporter….. you lost me before you could get to the actual topic of the podcast listed in the description

Petition for more Kirk & Turtleboy
I have been praying for this duo to come together!! I love the fast talking, quick quips, and town gossip. I could listen to them talk about the Karen Read and Sandra Birchmore cases for hours. Fantastic listen, please run it back!

Season 2 is really well done, looking forward to more from Kirk!

    Great investigative journalism!
Keep on shining that light on corruption and helping people feel comfortable coming forward with information. You do an great job Kirk taking info from different sources and putting it all together in a coherent manner.

Must add to your podcast faves!
So well done. Great research. Shows respect for victim. I’ve been looking for a podcast on the Birchmore case and finally found one that isn’t just regurgitating Reddit and newspaper articles This is a must listen. Keep up the great work.

    Review
This is a great podcast, only thing that irritates me is Kirk cutting Mike off. There were so many times I was into what he was saying and he was cut off before saying anything. Or Kirk would ask him questions then cut him off.

    A noble review
As I was listening to the last episode of the second season, I felt the pain the host and producer felt for the job, which for now, seems like they did not accomplish after completing the season for Sandra. Giving the information of the explorer program to the audience to me, is enough of a job to be aware of this program and alert people about the damage they have caused in people’s lives. Also voicing out a voice for someone who does not have anyone in her life to do so, because of fear of repercussion from the police department, is the most noble act I could think of a stranger doing for someone they did not even know. Thank you, guys, for such a powerful two seasons, to your entire team, and please continue to voice out cases about people who cannot fight for themselves because they have dealt under mysterious circumstances. Spreading the word is what nowadays is the only way sadly, to get the police to do their job to put more attention to cases they don’t care about or think it is not important enough to keep investigating. Sadly, we live in times when netizens, YouTubers, and podcast hosts have to pay attention to a case for the police to re-open or solve a case.

Thank you for covering local stuff
I’m not usually a Barstool follower, but this is good important work. Much respect to Kirk for covering this subject matter with more respect and humanity than all the hosts out there navel-gazing about the ethics of true crime. Hope to learn more, there are so many people that die or go missing under questionable circumstances in MA who are neglected by the media. Thank you, Kirk.

Please tell me there is going to be a season 2! I have been waiting so long!!! Love this podcast!

    Missing episode numbers
Just started this podcast but thought I should mention it was difficult to tell where a season ends and begins without episode listings.

    Great podcast
As a resident of the upstate of SC, I was unaware of the depth of missing people in Walhalla. Thank you for shining a light on these issues! Also - just to let you know - in SC the coroner does not need ANY medical degree yo hold the position. It is a fully elected position. I would be curious to know what the background of the Oconee County coroner actually is…

Voice makes it hard to follow
Love the story and the podcast, but when you speak, your sentences start out loud and then trail off. This makes it hard to hear, especially when listening in the car. Don’t let your voice trail off!

    Peaks and Valleys
This podcast has a lot of potential. Kirk has no shame and is not afraid to outright ask people hard questions, which is great. However, he does talk quite a bit and doesn’t always summarize. I found myself in season 1 getting a bit confused on who is who and what ties certain people have. Especially between poor recording, accents, etc., summaries would be appreciated. Season 2 started off really good. I liked the short episodes, but once the podcast turned conversational I started tuning out. This isn’t a sports recap, it’s facts regarding someone’s death. It deserves structure and thoughtfulness, not off the cuff thoughts.

    💔
Growing up in Massachusetts and studying Criminal Justice in college and hearing this podcast to study up on cases in my free time, the cases are very heart breaking. Hearing about situations like this close to my hometown and not knowing about them, hearing about girls my age or guys my age and families who suffer with these kinds of trauma and tragedies breaks my heart.
  • jrodlikesbacon
Season 1 5 Stars. Season 2 is NOT good.
Season 1 was incredible. Season 2, was boring, uninformative, not well researched and really disappointing. Style TOTALLY shifted. Not great.
  • Me4sam
    Wow!
The information and data they present is jaw dropping! Great podcast that is easy to listen to.
  • ayadboggs
    Such a good podcast!
I have loved listening to this podcast. Being from Oconee County, though, I’d love an updated episode on Faith Roach! ☺️
  • andriasue
    Great show BUT
Love the show but just needs to let people talk and not always interrupt when they are talking. Just wait till people are done them say what you need to say. Otherwise love it.
  • K_merr
Covering good cases, but it’s not great
I’m interested in the cases, but the delivery leaves a lot to be desired. The first season was good and led me into the second season. The second season is much different. There aren’t any interviews, all information about the case narrated by the host. This would be fine, however the episodes don’t seem to be written as a narrated podcast and the flow is off. There’s compelling stuff here but the delivery makes it hard to grasp and hard to get into.
  • IloveDahlias
Good but Kirk loves to talk.
He talks nonstop, he loves to listen to his own voice, his talks over his guests, repeats himself and then talks some more. A little less Kirk would be great.

I love this podcast! Awesome stuff.

Glad you are exposing explorer programs!!!
There’s another case of suicide of a police explorer from the 70s, Sandy Beal was the girl’s name and she was from Maine I believe. There’s a podcast about her case. There needs to be more oversight or something if explorer programs are to continue because this has been an issue for way too long and too many children have paid for it.
  • normanc1212
    Good podcast
I really enjoy this podcast and I feel like they do a thorough job on covering the cases. The reason I gave them 3 stars is because the one host is constantly talking over the other host. I try so badly to focus on what is being said but every time it’s time for a discussion it’s only one sided because the other guy can’t get a word in.
  • Savvysuewhooo
    Wow! Surprisingly Good
Barstool is one of my fav media outlets - but always just for sports of un serious random content consumption. When I saw that they also had a true crime podcast, I figured I would try to listen but didn’t have high expectations. Kirk - you knocked out of the park. I loved this podcast so much I can’t wait for more seasons to come out.
  • Scrawny1976

    Conversation is boring
Season 2 started off very interesting but now that they moved into conversational format it is sooooo boring. Not sure if I can even finish the season. No offense but we don’t need to hear your opinions, just the facts
  • Mommahedden41
    Very good investigator
Really like the investigative work, but hate that 2nd guy keeps getting interrupted all the time this season. But still think they are doing good work for justice.
  • jack3672
    Season 1 was great
Season 1 was great, season 2 not so much. I like the host but the other guy is obnoxious and annoying and ruins the flow of a serious podcast. Hopefully can go back to the way it was S1 or get someone else to help the host out.
  • CM from Billerica
    Must Listen
The new conversational format fits Kirk’s persona really well, reminds me of the Cullen investigation and stands out from other scripted and over-produced true-crime podcasts. Great work, hope this case gets the attention it deserves.
