Like a stream-of-consciousness master class in aviation leadership
As a former Marine aviator and now 18-year HEMS pilot, I promise you there’s a gold mine of wisdom behind the microphones here. If you are an outsider listening in, hang on - it’s worth the effort to decipher the lingo. This is NOT the idiot’s guide to USCG aviation; don’t expect a training timeout for Acronyms-101. What you CAN expect is world class aircrew sharing insight with humility and a lot of fun.

    Excellent
Just found you guys. Really enjoyed the chat with the crew on the Golden Ray case. Flashback to 72-80 as AD1 at Brooklyn and Astoria. Your guiding the conversation of the crew was spot on to get the real time thoughts and decisions made during SAR. Keep up the awesome job of bringing what the CG Aviation staff brings to the table. This media is needed and welcomed.

    Very Inspirational & Fun Listens
As a JO, I love listening to this podcast because you get a little update of what CG aviation is doing every few weeks and some insight into how CG aviation is changing! The podcast keeps me focused on the overall goal of becoming a CG aviator one day. Keep up the great work, awesome topics/guests each episode!

The Modern Day Campfire for Aviators
Love, love, love this PODCAST! This initiative is so very reticent of the Coast Guard’s “get to yes” mentality...during COVID when in-person get togethers were challenged...this group brought the “modern day campfire” into the digital age, and made it available for everyone. BZ!

    Bravo Zulu!
Absolutely love this podcast. Great idea, especially during COVID. I feel like I’m back in the Wardroom in the middle of pilot training. Seriously great discussions!

    Episode suggestion...
I’d like to hear the backstory of the photo that advertises this podcast. How did those floats get popped and what “nerves of steel” pilot flew that bird back to a safe landing (below 90 KIAS)? Surely he doesn’t still call ATC home, or does he? Great concept and initiative - look forward to expanding the aperture to broader fleet issues and discussions.

    Tremendous Listen!
Well-produced and informative aviation podcast with a “Fireside Chat” feel. Not only a great listen, but a great way to stay on top of aviation trends during these trying times. The hosts and guests know their craft and the sound quality is great. Enough great stuff to make me tune out the Celine Dion bumper music...:D
