ClasikRokThe FINAL Broski of the Week! (I hope)FULL DISCLOSURE! I never watched Z! True Long Island Story when it was first coming out. In fact, I was not watching much professional wrestling at the time, if at all. While I had heard the name Zack Ryder before, my first introduction to Matt Cardona came from E&C’s Pod of Awesomeness. Hearing Edge and Christian refuse to have Broski on the show endeared him to me, and finding out about the then debuting Major Wrestling Figure Podcast piqued my interest even further. Since then, I’ve become a #MajorMark 4-LIFE! So, of course I was HYPED to find out that Matt was starting a podcast dedicated to his revolutionary YouTube series. Watching MC-TLIS has been a pleasure to follow along with 10 years later, week-to-week. and I can’t wait to hear what comes next. Shooting my shot to become the FINAL Broski of the Week, because like my hero Matt Cardona, you just have to stay ALWAYZ READY and bet on yourself.

JakeboskiTake a chanceJust like Z! True Long Island Story, we were taught to take chances on ourselves . We either get noticed or don’t get used. My goal is to be the last ever Broski of the Week. I will either get noticed and win or I won’t be Broski of the Week at all. MC! has been an amazing trip down memory lane and I’ve loved the behind the scenes look at the greatest internet sensation in the wrestling business. True Story.

jswhodatTake Your ShotMCTLIS is the perfect snack size recap and behind the scenes look at the groundbreaking and inspiring ZTLIS. Take a shot. We all know the catch phrase “Alwayz Ready”, but for Matt it’s not just a saying on some merch, he lives and breathes it. While there is only one shot to be the last Broski of the week, Matt proves that in life everyday is a new shot. So set a goal. Bet on yourself. If someone tells you no, try again! Prove the haters wrong and more importantly prove your supporters right. Follow your dreams. Always be ready. And if all else fails, just take care…and spike your hair. Woo woo woo you know it!

Brian ChairesLeave the Memories Alone! We have finally reached the end of the epic journey that was Zack Ryder’s 2011 rise to superstardom! Over the last year, MC! True Long Island Story has taken us on a ride, through all of the highs and lows that happened in Matt Cardona’s life, and the WWE, ten years ago. This podcast is a great reflection as to what was happening back in 2011 in the WWE and I cannot recommend it enough to any wrestling fan. Mark does a great job keeping the show on track and giving Matt reminders as to what was happening in his life a decade ago. Matt offers to many fun “behind the scenes” stories that any wrestling fan will enjoy. This is a must listen for any WWE, Zack Ryder, Matt Cardona, or Z True Long Island Story fan. In addition, this is a great listen for anyone with a dream or anyone who needs some inspiration to chase their dreams. Matt/Zack did that ten years ago, and he continues to work hard, inspire, and chase his dreams to this day. I’m sad that MC! is ending, HOWEVER (Finkle voice) I’m excited to see what the final ten episodes bring us. Pour out one final Bud Light Lime for everyone’s favorite Broski. WOO WOO WOO. You know it.

playdukThe complete work of Zach RyderMissing out of wrestling during Zach Ryder’s incredible run, I never scene Zach Ryder/Matt constantly grab the brass ring until this year when he became independent wrestler of the year. Going through every week for a year and reliving these classic episodes has given Matt a top 5 spot on my wrestlers/entertainers list. Matt brings us back each week to a personal time in his life and isn’t afraid to share his true feelings of how he felt in each moment. Take a listen and you won’t be disappointed to here the tale of where betting on ones self can take you.

RecklessSonBet on yourselfA wonderful look back to ten years ago when then known as Zack Ryder took a chance and created a show that was so ahead of its time. You look around now and everyone has a vlog but YouTube was not utilized like this ten years ago. Z! True Long Island story was innovative and is noted by many vloggers today as inspiration. Ten years ago I began getting back into Wrestling after a few year hiatus and Zack was a big reason for that. Ten years later I’m still here and my fandom keeps growing largely in part to shows like this and todays indie scene. Matt Cardona and Mark Sterling have created an highly entertaining show with a peek behind the scenes of the inspiration behind each episode and a glimpse inside the mind of the man creating it. Take a listen, don’t miss out.

BroskeeWowWowLong Live the Ryder RevolutionThis podcast is a fun trip down memory lane. As Matt was climbing the proverbial wrestling wall, I was down at Illinois finishing up my degree. It was during this time that we stumbled upon the “Z! True Long Island Story” in between classes, and we were hooked. From there on, Monday nights we’d make sure to tune into Raw and cheer for our fellow broski, Zack Ryder. Illinois’s fight song may be “Oskee-Wow-Wow,” but when the broskis down in Champaign, ILL were watching the Ryder Revolution unfold, it became “Broskee-Wow-Wow.” Keep up the great work. Shout out to the Major Marks.

French311MC True Long Island StoryFull transparency: I missed the Ryder Revolution as it happened in 2011. That year I got married! I still tried to follow WWE but didn’t pay attention much to the online stuff. It wasn’t until I discovered the podcast in 2019 that I binge watched all 100 episodes in one day. Then again during the holidays in 2021. I regret nothing! Needless to say I was more than excited when MC True Long Island Story was announced. The original episodes were fresh in my mind & I couldn’t wait for Broski & Smart Mark’s breakdowns. This show has been amazing! It’s my #1 show to look forward to each week. A trip down memory lane and a way to fill in the gap of my wrestling fandom that I missed. The Deathmatch King proves over & over that dedication and betting on yourself WORKS! It inspires me and I cannot wait to see what happens next. Thank you!!

Wjbotelho29MC true Long Island storyI am a huge fan of the MWFP. I watch and listen to every piece of content that they put out , I’m a Hard foundation member and i recommend you do the same i guarantee you will not be sorry! I probably listen to everything a few times just as much as broski. I never watched YouTube until MWFP posted there vlogs . if you want to hear a true underdog story and how somebody took the ball and ran with it , MC True Long Island story is the only one you need to hear about , he single-handedly revolutionized social media for wrestling and changed it forever. Even now he’s doing what we all wanted our favorite wrestlers to do in the 80s and 90s and go from promotion to promotion wrestling the top size. If you can’t get motivated by this you don’t have a pulse. 👊🏼 #BroskiOfTheWeek

John Mee from Strong IslandBroski is like bad medicine. Bad medicine is what i need.In my 38 years of life, roughly 30 of them have cumulatively been spent as a orofessional wrestling fan. As a young kid I grew up obsessed with WWF and WCW. In my teenage years i drifted towards ECW and japense wrestling. I eventually became aware of Long Island indies like the HWA and NYWC While ny fandom lapsed around 2010, I would always hear about this bro who repped Long Island as H-A-R-D as he could everu chance he got and was blowing up on youtube. I eventually came back fully to wrestling around 2014. Fast forward to 2019...Unexpectedly my kidneys had failed and I found myself facing 15 hours of dialysis treatments a week. Forced to stop working, armed with nothing by feee time I began devouring the years of WWE i had missed via the network so I ws then able to watch Broskis rise. Once MC True Long Island Story premiered, I was beyond psyched to take the deep dive week by week exploring what went into this revolutionary content that was content before content was even a thing. Dealing with a chronic illness can be incredibly isolating. A lot of people dont know how to appraoch you or relate to what youre going through, I can truly say that the this and the MWF podcast have helped me in ways I can never truly explain. At time when I have felt alone, your podcasts and wrestling in general, have always been there to take my mind off things. You guys have built a community around your love for this business and its figures that is truly amazing, I have never missed an episode and likely never will. Thank you for all you guys have done and will continue to do moving forward. Love from Lindenhurst, John Mee

DrewH769How Z!TLIS Shaped My LifeZ! True Long Island Story was a big part of my reintroduction to wrestling. I grew up mainly with the attitude era with some golden age and new gen that my older brother showed me, but after some time into the ruthless aggression era, I took a short hiatus. It wasn’t until college around 2009 where a college buddy of mine would talk about wrestling with me, in which I would start checking out the current generation at that time. After starting to really get back into wrestling again, in 2011 I was introduced to Zack Ryder and Z! True Long Island Story and I was immediately hooked. After that, my love of wrestling was really rekindled. Zack Ryder was a new type of wrestler I had never seen before and Z! True Long Island Story made you really root for him. At that time, social media was really starting to get popular and Zack was really taking advantage of that, which was a breath of fresh air from some of the other wrestlers you would see and are used to. I have never laughed so hard at some of the segments and it really helped me get through some hard times. Zack was someone you rooted for and wanted to see win. I’ve always wanted to be Broski of the Week, but I never had the courage to make a video. Now, because of Matt’s podcast, the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast, I gathered the courage and made a video AND song for THE Major Mark neon light contest. That was the moment that really changed my life and helped me to become who I am today. Zack and Z! True Long Island Story really helped build my foundation for where I am today as a person.

cabel7Made me even bigger fanI didn’t follow Matt back in the day when this craziness all happened. I enjoyed watching his matches and cheered for him but I didn’t follow his out of ring stuff. Got into the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast and now I follow all that Matt does. Watching the original episodes for the first time each week is a blast but having this podcast to give the inside scoop makes it even better! I will be sad when it comes to the end but it’s a great ride while it lasts! Awesome job as usual fellas!!!

K.J.C 624BROSKI of the week!!! Try number 4!One of my favorite things to do during the week is turn on one of my favorite snackable podcast… the MC True Long Island Story! When I found out the Major Pod Network was going to take a look back at the career of Zack Ryder and his weekly YouTube show I was hype! I thoroughly enjoyed watching his show back in 2011 and getting to look back at the episodes and then listen to Matt’s thoughts on new the pod is a fun way to relive his career, making me become a fan all over again. This is a fun listen for any wrestling fan, especially if you follow how Matt is taking over the Indies one promotion at a time. Would love to be Broski of the week! Never got a chance to be one back in 2011 and if chosen would rock that Broski of the week headband with pride! Take care… and spike that hair!
-
@travispontonAnother great journey! It’s hard to believe that MC True Long Island Story has been around for almost a year now! As much as we enjoyed following Z!TLIS and patiently awaited the new weekly episode 10 years ago, this podcast has been the same. Like broski said in a recent show, you absolutely have to watch the corresponding YouTube episode and relive it before you catch the pod, too. I hate to confess to being a mark, but I have screenshots of all of my retweet’s and Twitter interactions with Zack Ryder, from a couple Wrestle Mania’s, etc. But it’s easy to understand why, because Matt Cardona put it all on the line, and leaves his heart and soul out there, for something he loves and is passionate about. It’s easy to root for a true underdog, self-made success story. Matt, you’ve definitely inspired me through my career, first working in TV news and now in the world of college coaching. Thank you for being more than just an entertainer, because in the end, the real always wins! Can’t wait to follow along with Matt and Mark the rest of the way, hopefully while wearing my “Broski of the Week” headband. WWWYKI!

NJ1011A Must Listen For Any Zack Ryder FanMC! True Long Island Story is Matt Cardona and Smart Mark Sterling’s behind-the-scenes look back at WWE Superstar Zack Ryder’s historic YouTube show from 2011. It’s a must-listen for anyone who followed Ryder back then or follows Cardona today. Z True Long Island Story holds a special place in my wrestling fandom. I got back into WWE in 2011 after one of my best friends, Kevin “Mister” Tibbs, started wrestling in the Long Island Indies and told me to watch CM Punk’s pipe bomb. From then on, I was back. Punk was my guy but as a then-27-year-old, Queens native who also loved pop music—I was immediately drawn to Zack Ryder and Z True Long Island Story. (My favorite segments were the AreYouSiriusBro Satellite Radios) Ryder felt like someone I would know—like one of my friends who made it to the big time. It also helped that I had a small degree of separation from him as I was friends with Brian Myers in college. From the YouTube show, my fandom grew. At Survivor Series 2011, I was among the thousands screaming “WE WANT RYDER” at MSG. The original Broski shirt was the first wrestling shirt (of way too many) I bought after rebecoming a fan. I was at Cowboys Stadium when Matt won the IC title and I was cheering him and Brian on as they won the tag titles at MetLife Stadium. I even got to meet Broski at Axxess with my ex-hoeski at WM31. I was never the Broski of the Week in 2011 but hopefully I can win it in 2021. Five Stars for MC! True Long Island Story ***** P.S. I got to catch up with Myers for the first time since college at a Create-A-Pro show in Hicksville in 2018. Coincidentally, my buddy Tibbs beat Smart Mark in a tag match that night. Small world.

bpvalleeFlashback 10 years10 years ago, I was in the audience during a WWE show in Boston. During the main event, the crowd cheered so loudly for Zack Ryder that CM Punk went in the back and brought Zack out for the live crowd. This was easily one of the most memorable things I’ve witnessed at a WWE show. This podcast takes you back 10 years to learn the background of the rise of Zack Ryder and his YouTube show. Every week, I watch the 10 year old YouTube episode and then listen to the new podcast with all the inside details of how it came to be. I strongly recommend this podcast if you are a wrestling fan.

JimmyTwilightA Look Back at a Fantastic TimeAfter not watching wrestling for quite some time I came back in 2010 just in time for the Ryder Revolution. Zack instantly became one of my favorites so when I found out he started his own YouTube show, I was instantly hooked from Episode 1. I fondly remember my best friend and I getting together every week to watch Z!TLIS and hoping Zack would be featured on Raw or Smackdown. Not only did this movement make me feel like I was a part of something in wrestling for the first time since Hulkamania, but it was also inspiration and motivation to work hard and bet on myself as I just graduated college and was embarking on my first career opportunity. It wasn’t long after that we were first pumping at live events and plastering DZ vs. ZR stickers everywhere! This podcast is such a perfect trip down memory lane that allows me to relive one of my favorite times in wrestling with amazing insight from Matt and great work by Mark. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone, not just wrestling fans. I couldn’t be happier for Matt and all of his success as it is proof that hard work, dedication, creativity and positive thinking can only amount to good things and he still continues to inspire me to this day. All hail The Deathmatch King, The Internet Champion, and one of my all time favorite wrestlers, Alwayz Ready- Matt Cardona! WWWYKI

jo3yhudsTo the tune of “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air”Now this is the story all about how, Zack Ryder flipped the industry upside down, You should go ahead and listen, just sit right there, He’ll tell you how he became the bro of LI, spike your hair In WTW, born and bred On the bedroom floor was he used to book his fig fed Chillin out, Zacked to max, and all cool On the road to being a top guy with a great pool When one of the guys who would make Edge look good Started a YouTube show cause he went get booked so good. He got cheered over Dwayne and the Fed got scared They said, “how did he get over without being on the air?” Things were going well, it was perfectly clear, Selling Woo-Woo license plates, Iced Z for your mirror If anything I could say that his gnome was rare, And I thought “this is awesome, got Zack Ryder dishware” Got figs from Mattel, about 7 or 8, But not the title win, no thanks Bill Miekina! @_flying_graysonBroski Headband to Prove Myself Right!I need to shockingly win this Broski of the Week Headband in the final moments like Zack Ryder at WrestleMania 32. Like Matt says, “Not to prove my haters wrong, but to prove myself right”. In this case my hater would be my wife, annoyed with the amount of Major pods I listen to. So here we go! A long time ago in a (WWE) universe far away , Zack Ryder had the marks that would eventually become “major” screaming woo, woo, woo! We knew it bro! Even if management didn’t. The bro from Long Island wasn’t supposed to get over, but a flip camera , a significant amount of hair gel, and even more passion would change all that. It’s been exciting to re-live this fun time in my wrestling fandom. The message still stands true, believing and betting on yourself is the way to go. Can’t believe it’s been 10 years! Congrats on all your success Matt (And Mark too, becoming so successful they might actually “hold the plane!”) A decade later, the fans still Take care and if they’ve still got some, spike their hair!

DenbrewBrings back great memoriesThis podcast is a great retrospective of the old Z True Long Island Story! The old YouTube series is part of an amazing 2011 that got me back into wrestling and got my wife into wrestling! Now the 2 time internet champion Always Ready Matt Cardona is back with Smart Mark Going over each episode and giving you a backstage look of what went on making the videos. I never miss an episode and look forward to what they have in store for the future episodes. Keep up the great work.

ichucky97The Ryder Revolution ContinuesI never watched Z True Long Island story so being able to watch along with Broski and Mark is great. You get a behind the scenes look at each episode, along with Broski’s thoughts at the time. Mark provides a great layout for the pod, and it’s snack-able. I was late to the Ryder revolution but this podcast along with the Major WF Pod have made me feel a part of it. Take a listen, you won’t regret it! And maybe you’ll be able to be the broski of the week!!! Take care, spike your hair.

Mitchell MellottBroski of the WeekWhen I heard that Matt and Mark would be doing this podcast I was ecstatic. Two great podcast hosts covering a YouTube show that was a major part of my childhood. Sign me up. I remember watching Z true Long Island story in elementary school and being a huge broski. Getting surprised with broski merch is one of my favorite childhood memories. I wore my headband and shirt almost everywhere. So much so, that my school dress coded my broski headband in 3rd grade. I still have the merch, and wore it to meet Matt at an independent show in WV. I even made it to the vlog. Listening to each episode is one of the highlights of my week. Now I hope to upgrade my headband with a brand new broski of the week one!

Charelle (char)Broski Of The weekIt was 2011 and 15 year old me would look forward to Z!LIS every week. We want Ryder, the Ryder Revolution…. it felt like I was part of something BIG. Matt has always been my favorite wrestler and being on that Z!TLIS journey to get him pushed towards his dreams was an amazing feeling. Having that throwback with MC!TLIS brings back that feeling there’s so much nostalgia and I’m loving every bit of it. Matt and Z!TLIS had such and impact on me my passwords for most everything had been Z!TLIS related, mostly because my memory is bad and Z!TLIS and Matt’s journey as Zack Ryder is unforgettable making it easy to not forget my passwords… lol anyways MC!TLIS is my favorite podcast, walk down memory lane…. pgh218766The night broski took MSGI’ve waited to this point in the pod to share this review but here we go, One of my favorite wrestling memories ever, My uncles and I took a train from the burgh to NYC to see survivor series and just like the other 20,000 people that night we all wanted the same thing to Woo Woo Woo all night long and boy did we all and had quite a few adult beverages, all I know I lost my voice within the first 15 minutes chanting for broski, a night me and my uncles still all talk about today, and me after walking all through New York with my broski wig on!! Matt and Mark do an incredible job taking a trip down memory lane to one of my favorite wrestling runs of all time, and this week when talking about the lead up to survivor series and it brought back all the memories me and my uncles had that night and that night at MSG is still my favorite attended event ever, and I still WWWyki bro, thank you Matt for all the good memories and I will forever be a fan of yours for that !

MarcusBP1Be a Broski, Not a Hoeski - Listen to This PodcastIf you’ve ever been curious what life of a WWE wrestler is like behind the curtain, then this is the podcast for you! I have been a Zack Ryder fan since meeting him at a Kmart signing in November 2011, and immediately binged all of ZR True Long Island Story. We are now 10 years from my anniversary of being a Ryder fan, and I am a full fledged Matt Cardona Mark! The nostalgia that this podcast brings, while revealing the thoughts behind the 10 year old YouTube series makes for a fun snackable weekly podcast! In addition to hearing about ZRTLIS we also get insight into The Death Match King’s current collecting, matches, and theme park addiction. Take 40 min out of your week and give this a listen, and remember to Take Care, Spike Your Hair and Scratch That Figure Itch! (PS - I’m Bald)

MWFD31MC! TLIS fan engagement A !!MC! True Long Island Story is worth the listen every week! Not only do you get a unique behind-the-scenes perspective of what his run as ‘Zack Ryder’ was like during his 15 years in WWE, Matt Cardona also engages his listeners every week through numerous giveaways and sharing their feedback! Smart MARK Sterling will even share a few criticisms but tackles it head-on. Where else can you get that type of interaction and commitment to his audience except for the MAJOR POD NETWORK! I know I sound like a shill, but I’m just a regular dude, lifelong wrestling and sports fan, and I appreciate the dedication Matt shows to his fanbase, and especially his HONESTY when talking about his professional wrestling career. FIVE STARS INDEED!

MerrickMiamiBroski Then - Broski Now11 years ago I was just an out of place 13 year kid in a crowd with what I felt was no real direction. And then it happened : The birth of Z!True. And boy did it take me by storm. I looked forward every week to the release of a new episode, not knowing that many episodes later I would actually become Broski of The Week on Episode 95. Fast forward to 2018, I finally got to meet my hero Zack Ryder at Wrestlemania 34 Axcess. I thought this was the best day of my life. But I was wrong. In September of 2021 I had the privilege to step foot in the ring with Matt. Not to mention I then went on to beat him! MC!True brings back so many memories and emotions that I have missed for so many years and now being able to have a match with my hero who made me fall in love with this business is nothing but storybook and has truly brought everything full circle. But there is one thing is missing. To be the MC!True Broski of The Week. Everything Zack preached then and Matt preaches now aren’t just wasted words. If you want an opportunity don’t wait for it. Create it. He’s proof of that. And because of him, I’m proof of that. And you can be too. Much respect. WWWYKI

Kronline bieberWoo woo woo you know it’s an awesome podcast !!!!Hi this MC'S fact guy Harry Flynn i'm an autistic pro wrestling fan and YouTuber. Most people say that in 2011 CM Punk brought them back to wrestling; Zack Ryder did that for me. I would watch Z.T.L.S all day i was like are you serious bro every time my hot topic would run out of your merch. I still support you, brian, chelsea, swoggle, and smart mark. I want to say thank you for giving me entertainment for the ten years. I love the podcast woo woo woo you know it!
-
John_A1989Great podcastDuring the ZTLIS days my brother told me about the show on YouTube and I checked it out and that’s when I became a fan of Matt. Til this day broski is one of my favorite wrestlers and is killing it and is proving everyone that has always believed in him right. I look forward to the podcast every week to relive all the memories. I always wanted to be broski of the week back then but I got into the series too late hopefully I can be broski of the week.
-
SeptemberSorrowsHeelski of the Week?!Everybody loves a little bit of nostalgia and MC takes me back to 2011 every single week whether it’s marks rattling off that weeks televised and live matches or Matt pulling the curtain back and giving us the inside look into the backstage happenings of WWE. One of the greatest charms of Z true was the Broski of the Week segment and while a young unknown Fig Heel never got chosen, I’m hoping ten years later my Broski will let me wear that accolade like a badge of honor on social media… and even if not, I still Woo Woo Woo. You know it! - Fig Heel

josepher76NOT JUST FOR PG ERA FANS!I wasn’t watching wrestling during this time period, so I missed out on this whole era. I’m a Golden/Attitude Era Guy. I have since started watching again and collecting. I’m a huge fan of the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast, so I figured I’d give this pod a listen. 4 episodes in and I’M HOOKED! Not only is this about the YouTube show, it’s focused on this time wrestling that I missed. It just goes to show you that even if you missed out on this era, you can still enjoy this great podcast! I’m looking forward to binging the rest! WOO WOO WOO, YOU KNOW IT!

Bryan GreenwoodBroski Then. Now. Forever.MC! True Long Island Story is an amazing nostalgic trip down memory lane. It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years since Z! True Long Island Story took YouTube and the wrestling world by storm but listening to this podcast brings me right back to the Ryder Revolution and genuinely makes me smile. Zack Ryder was the last wrestler that I feel like I truly connected with as a fan and I remember when he started ZTLIS I jumped on board immediately. The show made me a major mark for Ryder as it showcased his genuine humor, creativity, and desire to achieve super stardom. The MC podcast gives you an entertaining behind the scenes look at the original series and serves as a great retrospective of Matt’s career at the time as the revolution gained steam and took off. After all these years I’m still a Cardona fan and I look forward to seeing what’s next for the Broski! WWWYKI

JSummers330The year that changed my life2011 was a fun year, IMO. It was the year I got into podcasts, making podcasts, and expanding my horizons as a wrestling fan by going to independent shows to see who will be the next star coming up. At the beginning of it all was Z! True Long Island Story. In between the show and his appearance on The Art of Wrestling, I instantly became a fan for life. Ten years ago today, I was at Raw wearing my Broski shirt and Brosk headband while chanting “We Want Ryder”, which was much louder in person than what was heard on TV. This was the night Hugh Jackman was at Raw and picked Zack to face Dolph Ziggler. It is one of my favorite moments I have seen live for WWE TV. I was happy to be apart of the crowd, just as much as I am happy to relive 2011 with Matt and Mark every week. It crazy to hear how things have changed in the last ten years, but it’s also awesome to see how this year changed the lives of many fans, as well as Matt’s. This show is a must listen to any fan that lived through the Ryder Revolution.

OmegaPyroThe Ultimate Story Of PerseveranceTen years ago I made a connection to Matt Cardona, then Zack Ryder, that is unlike anything I've experienced before. This podcast is hosted by Matt Cardona, and "Smart" Mark Sterling as they relive Matt's tale of blood, tears, and headbands, and how he ended up revolutionizing pro-wrestling forever. Hearing all of Matt's ups and downs in the business will endear him to you and forge that same life-long bond. Listening to how Matt took a bet on himself and chased his dreams has not only inspired me, but will inspire anyone who listens to make the same life-changing bet on themselves. So what are you waiting for? Get ready to relive the ultimate story of perserverence and success from the ultimate underdog. Woo, Woo, Woo, You Know It.

BassalionA Documentary-esq Podcast SeriesThe True Long Island Story podcast is a dream come true for any wrestling fan who has eyes and ears over the last few decades. It is a refreshingly in-depth look at the Youtube series of the same name that put Matt Cardona/Zack Ryder on the map. To me, this was always one of the things that took the social Media presence of Professional wrestling to the next level, and the beauty of this podcast is we get to hear the thought process behind it….the behind the scenes stories...and even some top notch pro-wrestling insight from the man himself who created it all, Matt Cardona. Alongside Producer Mark Sterling, Matt Cardona bears his passion, ideas, and Pro-wrestling genius as he describes Episode by Episode, the details of how he became one of the most “Over” wrestlers of the modern era. This Podcast is a must listen for any fan of Wrestling History, as not only did it elevate the Zack Ryder Career in a big way...but it also was (In my opinion) the key tributing factor into ushering in an entirely new tool for professional wrestling altogether...one that we see heavily utilized to this day. The dynamic of watching episodes and then listening to the episode to compare notes and hear the inside scoop is very fulfilling. So if you haven’t listened to this podcast yet, I have one question for you. ARE YOU SERIOUS BRO?

DylEminemBroski Of The Week! This podcast makes me feel so nostalgic. I started to be a Matt Cardona fan in 2009. When ZTLIS debuted, I immediately fell in love. I turned my mom into a Matt Cardona fan as well as my sister. I stayed a Matt fan through the years. The highs and lows. Even now people around my town know me as the Broski or Matt Cardona fan. Matt overcoming obstacle after obstacle mirrors my life, and AlwayZ reminds me to stay motivated. Here Matt and the forever intelligent “Smart” Mark recount the episodes that turned me into the Major Mark and Broski that I am now. These episodes fly by just like the original ZTLIS used to. Thanks Matt for everything. WWWYKI. Bro.

KimJongBroStill Woo Woo Woo-ingThis podcast is the best recap show today! The king of the death match Matt Cardona and THE most over professional wrestling lawyer Smart Mark Sterling recap Matt’s journey to becoming one of the most over wrestlers of 2011. I love hearing the backstories for skits and the crazy response from the office to his rising star.

JustinParkerMusicGreat Show, Great MemoriesWhen Zack Ryder debuted I wasn’t watching WWE with any regularity. I was a teenager who grew disinterested after the Monday Night Wars ended. I dove deep into independent wrestling after receiving a flyer for a local fed and getting on their ring crew. By and large, wrestling on TV didn’t interest me much during that time. I also began my first “real” job at a Little Caesar’s pizza. My boss, Rob, was also a passionate wrestling fan and we shared many road trips to shows and conventions in the 2-3 years I was employed there. Rob was adamant that I check out Zack Ryder, constantly putting over how he was doing something new and exciting. He constantly sang the entrance theme and dropped that classic tag line. He wore me down and I checked out Z True Long Island Story. I instantly became a fan of this guy who was taking his fate into his own hands. The longer I worked in wrestling, the more my fandom for Zack Ryder grew as I recognized his ingenuity, creativity, and passion for a business that I love with all my heart. I faded in and out of watching wrestling on TV but remained a fan of Matt Cardona. This insightful and entertaining podcast has allowed me to not only revisit moments I enjoyed, but also to remind me of some great times with a truly great guy. Unfortunately, Rob passed away unexpectedly at a young age a few years ago. Whenever we got to catch up, it was always based around wrestling, and I’d go out of my way to work in a “WOO WOO WOO YOU KNOW IT.” Thank you for many years of entertainment, from Zack Ryder to the Major Pod Network. Your work has brought me great joy over the years and the memories of my friend Rob that are attached are just a lucky bonus. PS F*ck Nick Gage. Matt F*cking Cardona All Day.

Zack The Outlaw Of Long IslandGive me what wantMC True Long Island story has been my favorite thing ever Thursday. The OG show of ZTrue Long Island story was my the best thing the 13 year old wrestling fan in me could of ever asked for. Tho I’ll never forget the episode where you said your real name and it kinda broke my heart because my name is Zach (with a h) and knowing a wrestler has the same name as me was awesome but sadly it wasn’t true. Other then that tho you will forever be my all time favorite wrestler. Much love guys.

downtownchazbrownInspiring people for 10 yearsI became a Broski 10 years ago because of a show on YouTube and I’ve been a fan ever since. Reliving ZTLIS thru Matt is so interesting and thru Smart Mark as a fan is truly a joy to hear each week. It brings back fun memories and shows how far Broski has came throughout the years to where he is now, a World Champion!!! His hustle and grind has inspired me for years and now that he’s on the Indy scene I’ve gotten the chance to meet him multiple times and have bought up everything on his merch table. All I need is that Broski of the Week sticker! Thank you for all the inspiration and I encourage anyone who’s reading this to jump along for the ride and hopefully be as inspired as I am!

iKanikBehind the curtainA great podcast hosted by Matt Cardona FKA Zack Ryder. It’s a look behind the curtain of what was going on and on his mind while he filmed his youtube show “True Long Island Story”. Matt Cardona disrupted wrestling and how we consume wrestling with this show and should be spoken about in sports marketing classes. And this is your chance to hear how he did it.

Bobby3355WooWooWoo It’s Your Fault! It is all your fault Broski that to this day I call everyone I ever meet BRO! When you were Zack Ryder I immediately joined the Ryder Revolution to the point I bought my then baby daughter the purple Ryder onesie to match my t-shirt. I would put the onesie on her and in a baby voice say woowoowoo you know it bro so much that using “bro” stuck in my permanent vocabulary, which I still use to this day! I love the new podcast, and I am so jealous that I have never been Broski of the Week to go along with all the figures, pops, and autographs that I have purchased through the years. Thanks for all the awesome entertainment through the years and keep up the great work!

HalfbloodcajunBroski of the WeekI’ve always knew Zack Ryder (Matt Cardona) was a good wrestler but could never watch him much on tv. Then my friend got me into Z! True Long Island Story. Finally I could see the true Ryder. He’s my age and likes the same things. The show was funny, smart and all together entertaining. That’s why my friends and I wanted to be Broski of the Week. Which we were on Episode 23. Now ten years later watching MC! True Long Island Story it’s fun thinking back on those fun days when my friends and I started a wrestling rap group called Ring Rope Rebellion. And it’s all because of Zack Ryder. Thank you Matt for the great shout out on your show. I’m definitely going to keep watching each episode just like I did ten years ago.
