Being a ‘retired’ travel agent, and a lover of all things adventurous I found Kimberly’s Italy travel to be the best podcast. I’ve listened to! I love how she intertwines Italian phrases into her explanations, the joy that her and Tommaso have in explaining their “relationship building” experiences and their clearer than a whistle explanations of the cities. Having been to Italy numerous times and using other agents, they are my next go to without a doubt. Ben fatto!

I really like listening to Kimberly’s Italy Podcast. I always feel better after listening to it so I decided to put that to the test. Today I had to have a root canal. I asked the doctor if I could wear my EarPods while he was working on my tooth and he said it was ok. I decided to listen to Kimberly’s Italy podcast. Believe it or not, I felt no pain. I just closed my eyes and enjoyed two episodes. I felt no pain at all and was totally relaxed imagining being in Italy where I will in two months. If you are ever having a root canal, there is no better podcast to make the time go by fast and pain free.

Enjoy everything about this podcast, so very informative and the delivery is so entertaining, I love the banter and makes me feel like I am with friends discussing a trip over a cocktail! I have planned all my trips to Europe on my own so do not mind that you do not divulge your favorite hotels, restaurants etc. I most likely am not in the same tax Bracket as you :). When I physically can’t be in Italy, I press play on Kimberly’s Italy podcast to be immediately transported there! From the very authentic intro of cafe sounds to Kimberly & Tomaso’s stories…I’m back in Bell’Italia where I last left off. What makes the podcast such a joy to listen to is the fact that Kimberly REALLY knows Italy - her experiences are intimate and spot on. And not only do I gain a wealth of knowledge regarding the country I love, I learn the language too! Kimberly sprinkles vocabulary words throughout each episode for all of us to practice. Wonderful to hear this segment on your Italy regions series. Both are the lands of my ancestors who came to America in he early 1900s. Not many emigrated from these regions to America so they aren’t on many radars when people travel to Italy. My ancestors settled in NE Pennsylvania to work in the coal mines. Many Umbri and Marchigiani settled in this area. Like you said I grew up on pasta of course but also beans, lentils and cured meats such as lonza from Umbria!

My husband and I have been trying to get to Italy for over 10 years and finally just decide to make it happen so we booked our plane tickets for the last of April for 3 weeks! We are so excited so I started looking for Italy podcast and we were so excited to find this one! We have learned so much and enjoy listening to all of your stories and suggestions! Keep up the good work! We are about half way through your list and I’ll be so sad when we’ve listened to them all and have to wait til the next one!

I’m so glad that I stumbled upon this podcast. I do volunteer work with an organization in Italy. When I’m there, I’m never in the big 3, but hosted in lesser known regions and smaller towns. I love to listen to podcasts to prepare for a trip, and I was never able to find good content in English about the places that I would be visiting. That’s until I found Kimberley’s Italy! I love how our hosts set the mood for the location, give you a taste of what you’ll experience there, and make you feel like you’re sitting down to an aperitivo to discuss it with friends. I started listening many months before our two week trip to Italy in May and loved the relaxed and informative topics on everything Italy! And now months later , still listening as my constant connection to the beauties of Italia!!!

Unfortunately, I came upon this podcast very close to wheels up for our trip to Italy. Fortunately, I was able to binge a good many of the shows before heading across the pond. This couple is very genuine, incredibly amusing and truly insightful. Their influence prepared us for Italy’s very flavor and pace while giving us tips and ideas on dealing with both. Kimberly graciously agreed to help me with our remaining travel planning and provided excellent tips and recommendations. Incredibly grateful for this duo! Kimberly and Tommaso - love that you call him Tommaso. Every episode is good fun, and chock full of info. I fully understood Tommaso’s dedication to eating Ragu 3x in 24 hours. That’s the stuff dreams are made of. Also, shout out to Conrado - now I want to go to Lucca. That was a great episode, but then again, they all are. Lastly - I’m one of those DIY travelers, but getting tips from you really helps out. Ciao, a proximo podcast. I spent 3 weeks in Italy in 1980 driving to many of the larger cities (got engaged on a gondola in Venice) but now I can’t wait to travel there again even if it has to be by myself! It was a happy accident to find Kimberly’s Italy. Immediately fell in love with a delightful banter between Kimberly and her husband Tommaso. Beyond the entertainment, they offer serious advice on making the most of an Italian trip beyond the tourist traps. I’ve binged mini episodes, and then decided to engage her to help me plan a trip to the Amalfi coast. It was a wise financial investment- I think I will be her client for life!

Listening to Kimberly’s Italy invites curiosity about parts of Italy I’ve not yet had the pleasure to go; makes me laugh about her crazy adventures with friends or the ‘kittens’; and most of all makes me want to be one of the future ‘kittens’ and experience first hand the best of Italy with Il Capo at the helm!!

I’ve been listening for a while now and what sets this podcast apart for me is Kimberly and Tomaso’s amusing banter. Kimberly knows a lot about what to see and do in Bella Italia and has so many wonderful stories to share about her time in Italy. Tomaso fills in some of the history of the various Italian cities and regions and also offers an occasional deep dive into some of the more technical aspects of traveling in Italy. Together they share with listeners their excitement for the food and culture of Italy. This has become my go-to Italy podcast. Kimberly and Tomaso keep it fun!

Also, I was wondering if you can just put the recipe on your website, it would be less work for you and it’s easier for us to just visit your website instead of dealing with pdfs. Ciao! It’s been a while since our Epic Italian Road Trip to Bella Italia…I’m finally writing about the wild 2 week experience I shared with my two teens. It was quite the adventure to say the least! Our travels were in August 2022

I had 2 trips to Italy planned for 2020, and then the pandemic. I started listening to various podcasts to fill my soul with all things Italy. I have listened to many, but when I stumbled upon Kimberly's Italy I was hooked. I have listened to every episode and look forward to each week. As well as the Instagram and Facebook posts. You've talked about your early days, working in Italy. And you have mentioned Tom's sailing. I would love an episode on how you and Tom met. You both seem to have fascinating lives and I enjoy listening to you both!

Let me first say that I love your show! My first trip to Italy was September 2021 and fell in love with Italy! We visited Rome, Amalfi Coast, and Naples. We leave next week to visit Milan, Varenna, Venice, and Florence. While listening to the podcast about Naples, it reminded me of our day and a half there. I almost fell out of my chair at work when your group said how fun it was but with the side note of not having to go back. That was us totally! It was great to see but once was enough! It was an awesome experience, however!

Thank you for this podcast- i just recently found it and am devouring episodes My daughter and I will be in italy this may to celebrate her doctoral graduation. We are travelers interested in soaking up the beauty and culture of our destination without feeling over planned or stressed. Your outlook on travel matches ours and i’ve zeroed in on particular episodes for great ideas ! We didn’t want a super hectic “grand tour” so we picked 3 areas and are staying in each for 3-4 days: Varenna on Lake Como, Chianti ( to see both Florence and Sienna) and Vernazza on the Cinques Terre. With a day and a 1/2 at the end in Milano. I am loving your stories and tips for these areas and know this first trip to Italy will start a love affair with the land and culture! I have been listening for close to a year now and your podcast was such a great resource for my trip to tremezzo, castiglione d’orcia/pienza, venice and florence last September. We had such a wonderful time and I was able to talk my best friend’s ear off about the history and significance of the areas we were walking through. Furthermore, I’ve continued listening your podcast because it is the optimal form of escapism from my corporate job. Listening to you and Tom brightens my week and transports me to Italy! I have a newfound love for the country, as well as a desire to speak the language, and would love to retire in tremezzo in a home with a similar view to ristorante Al veluu! Kimberly (La Cappa) and Tomaso will transport you instantly to Italy with their storytelling. Their back and forth banter, fun stories and great tips, make me look forward to this podcast every week. Headed to Italy in May —on the itinerary are Lake Como, the Tuscany region and Rome and visiting some of their suggestions. But next time I plan a trip, I will use Kim’s travel planning services. Two suggestions - Tomaso - Basta with telling to Kimberly to keep her shows to 30 minutes. We need an hour of her weekly, please! Also, I’d love for you guys to interview some past clients who went with you on trips (Kitten Club 1 and 2) and clients who had you help them plan couple or family trips. Keep up the great work.

I just found this podcast and I love it! There are very few podcasts that I can get in to and this is one of them. The storytelling is informative, interesting, and hilarious. I’m literally GASPED out loud when I heard someone actually left a 1 star review!! So this is my protest to that review… I randomly googled Florence, Italy and came across Kimberly’s Italy while planning my solo trip to Florence for my Birthday in Nov 2022. I have listened to every episode and then listen again. When I miss an episode, I felt like I missed catching up with old friends. And then when I listen, all is right with the world. Because of Kimberly, I decided to take a train to Lucca, I was hopelessly “Lost in Lucca” on all the back alleyways, but found the wall to walk on and found the tower, but only made it up half way up before my fear of heights got the best of me. Then found a little tiny place that sold pizza by the slice before catching the train back to Florence. This whim of a day would not have been possible without her and Tomasso’s podcast - it’s simply PERFECTION!

i’ve been immensely enjoying this podcast the last few months. my friend and i are headed to italy to celebrate our 50th bdays so i just searched one of our destinations and this popped up. the imagery is vivid and i often drive to work with a smile on my face imagining the food, the flora and fauna and the history…oh my goodness the history. this all drives me more and more to complete my italian dual citizenship…and finally learn the language. i wish i had found this all during the beginning of covid; not being able to travel was just the worst for me. thank you for taking me on an adventure every evening!

I have been listening to this podcast for months and have gone back and listened to any episode about a destination that I am interested in. Kimberly and Tom bring to life the sights and sounds and tastes of traveling through Italy all while you think you are having a cocktail with them! The listener walks away with an understanding of not only the important sights in a town, village or city but the vibe. Whether you are looking for a buzzy and busy piazza or a serene and quiet rural village or something in between, Kimberly sets the scene. I also love that she doesn’t over sell a destination but is honest about her experiences — the good and the bad. I am an independent traveler and love to plan my own trips, but of the 3-4 podcasts about travel in Italy that I listen to, this one is tops.

Kimberly and Tommaso are a marvelous duo! My husband and I fondly refer to them as the Click and Clack of travel adventures. Stumbled upon Kimberly’s Italy as we started to plan our trip to Italy and I’ve gotten through all the episodes in like, a month?! Kimberly and Tommaso tell such wonderfully detailed stories about their times in Italy. Makes walking through the cold streets of winter in Philly is manageable as I listen to them. We’re so in love with Kimberly’s extensive knowledge of Italy, the culture, history, and her incredible way of making lifelong friends across Italy that we reached out to her to help us plan our trip this summer. Love this podcast, it brings to life italy through my headphones! My boyfriend and I are planning our first trip to Italy right now and this podcast is helping so much with identifying what we want to see in each place we will be going to.
