    Felt like a product
I started at the very beginning and I got quite a few episodes in. I listened for a few hours in fact, but what felt like half of every single episode was an ad for a big homesteading book. I don’t have any issue with the content being advertised but it was the constant hammering of it that I just couldn’t handle anymore. It should have been a one and done episode. Regarding the actual content I didn’t learn any actual information about homesteading, just information on whether or not I should actually start. Like what are my struggles, and there’s nothing wrong with this but again it was constant. I felt like I was being convinced to not homestead rather than to. It’s hard to decide if you want to do something when none of the actual information being presented is about how to do it. Please note I only listened to the first 15ish episodes. Current content might be entirely different, I just couldn’t get there.

I just started listening and the very first episode has gotten me thinking about our practical steps that I would have missed as we set out to homestead.

    Love this podcast !
Appreciate the varied topics. I also love the she gets right to the topic, not allllll the chit chat that a lot of podcasts do. I also appreciate that this podcast is not just about self promotion, she has topics that are useful, interviews knowledgeable people, asks good questions, and provides resources. Holistic podcast. Thank you for this content! You’re doing an amazing job ⭐️

    Mona knows what’s up.
I’m in a neighborhood - not a place you’d think would be a good homesteading spot. Mindset is everything, I have room to do things here. I highly recommend this podcast and will be seeing where it goes in the future!

    Great Resource
So many people show the beginning of homesteading as a “how to”. How to build this or buy that to start your homesteading journey. But Mona doesn’t do that. She starts with the mental preparation. Focusing on the why before the where. I love her checklist and her belief that ANYONE can be a homesteader., no matter where you start out.
