I was looking for resources to help me lead my men’s group at church to fight p*** addiction and I was as led to your folks’ podcast. I appreciate you Johnny for taking the time to have a meeting with me to point me in the right direction with resources for my group and myself personally. Especially the last 4 episodes have not only been helpful with the topic discussed in this podcast, yet other areas of my life that can have a hand this perpetuating this kind of behavior i.e. healthy/unhealthy connections and dying to self. My safe space

Shortly after “D-Day” I found myself searching for and and all information on how we are going to get through something so devastating in our marriage. I had listened to several podcasts and didn’t really resonate with any.. until I found Emily & Johnny. Their sensitivity to each other and the Holy Spirit were what made me stay tuned in. I quickly binged each episode and looked forward to the new releases every week. A few months into healing they announced that they were starting a coaching business and I knew that I needed to be one of the first ones to sign up! What an answer to prayer they both were. Emily created a safe place for me when my world was crumbling around me. Johnny helped keep my husband accountable while pouring into him what he’s always needed to hear. We are now 18 months post disclosure and are walking in the marriage that we’ve always wanted, but never knew how to achieve. A huge part of that is because of the knowledge, kindness, faithfulness, and vulnerability of Johnny & Emily.

Still healing… even 3 years out

Hi. My husband and I both find this podcast very helpful. My d-day was almost three years ago, and although my husband and I have made huge strides in our healing journey, we still struggle sometimes and it is always so nice to be able to listen to an episode or two to remind us that we aren’t alone and to refocus our attention. Although our story doesn’t involve porn or sex addiction, there are so many topics and issues that we have in common and are so relevant to our story. Dealing with infidelity and sexual betrayal is definitely the hardest thing I have ever had to endure. I honestly think the only thing that could hurt more would be the loss of a child. It definitely isn’t talked about enough, and the decision to stay together sometimes comes with negative judgement from others. You two are doing great work!! My husband and I are also doing everything we can to use our brokenness and tragedy to help others. I know that God has a plan for us, and He will use our redemption story for good. Thank you for your willingness to put yourselves out there to help others!!!

Dealing with Infidelity

This podcast is all I’ve listened to today. One week ago today I found out my spouse had sexual relations with a woman while he was working out of town. We are meeting with our pastor & I'm trying so hard to get past this. The pain is unbearable. We have two children & I’m trying so hard to be strong for them because I don’t want them to be affected as they're only one & two years old.. Pray for me & our marriage as I’m also wanting to work on this.

Thank you for sharing your story and your healing journey. My husband and I walked through adultery, porn addiction, and betrayal as well as redemption a few years ago after being married for 23 years. We too found God and a stronger faith during that healing process. And we are now on the other side of things with a stronger and better marriage than we ever thought possible. we are now more intentional with our relationship and work on our marriage each and every day. We owe that all to God. and we are so thankful that we followed his plan and not our own. A lot of the things you talk about are the same feelings and conversations that we walked through. I’m currently going through a very tough time with my husband, due to his infidelity, we just got married in March of this year and I’m also pregnant. I found your podcast and it’s helped me so much with preparing myself to talk to him again (we’re currently separated) I don’t want a divorce although at first I did but God told me to be patient and led me to 1st Corinthians chapter 7 .
