    Enjoying the show
I just got picked up as a Naval Flight Officer and I am awaiting my official ship date for OCS. Though maybe outdated, your podcast has been a lood look into some of the things I will be doing (ex: SERE school). I also enjoy hearing more about fun times of deployment.

    A great documentary!!!
I just stumbled on this and am really enjoying it! Love the detail you go into Mike. If i would've heard this 10 years ago I would probably be in the Navy right now! Keep up the good work!

From a former "Hookie-Took" AW~ your account is so accurate it almost feels like being there and living it all over again! Nice work!

    Amazing peek into Antisubmarine Warfare
This podcast is a fascinating look into enlisted Aviation Antisubmarine Warfare training. It's almost like being there, except you don't have the multi-year service commitment at the end! Mike, the host, comes across as a genuine guy, bringing anecdotes and details from an era when the Soviet Union was the enemy and their submarines were a considerable threat. While Mike isn't always fully organized in the information he imparts, that adds to the charm of the podcast and also opens opportunities for him to throw in additional tidbits rather than giving a rote presentation of each of the steps in his training. Highly recommended for those interested in one look life in the Navy.

    The first of it's kind!
This podcast is a must listen for those who are very interested in naval aviation, but goes WAY beyond the substandard info found in TOP GUN, The Hunt for Red October, and other Hollywood stereotypes. This is the REAL DEAL, as told by someone who really went through the training. I never thought a discussion on algebra would be interesting, but I thoroughly enjoyed the recap of AW "A" School. Take it from someone who took the ASVAB in high school, but decided against a maritime career (FYI: SeAL first choice, then Marine, then submariner), this podcast gives you a real, first-person narrative of what it takes to be in naval aviation. I did keep my thirst for all things nautical: I sail, I read piloting manuals and pour over charts, and am fascinated by the terminology that has been Tom Clancified into the lexicon, but this is the genuine article. GO NAVY! Non sibi sed patriae!
