Tom and Dan were once sitting in a hotel room in Daytona Beach, Florida where the air-condition didn't work, they were out of beer, and the cable only had 2 channels that came in static free. One of their friends suggested that they leave and attempt to find something better to do to which Dan replied "Why would we want to ruin a mediocre time?"If you were to ask "Tom and Dan" what the meaning of life is, they might tell you that there is none. Born from a feeling that nothing in life truly matters and that for the most part we're all surrounded by scumbags, "Tom and Dan" figured out that there's only one true constant in life; laughter. How did they come to that conclusion? It's all they have. You see, just like the mass majority of us, "T & D" have day jobs and it was at said day job where they cued in on the fact that some of the greatest laughs came at the end of the day. There's just something about the relaxed feeling of knowing that you have very little time left at work to put in. Maybe it's the "punch drunkenness" of still being at work; no one is quite sure. There they sat in their office, the door shut to their co-workers and management, only making each other laugh to the point of tears. Finally they realized that it might not be such a bad idea to roll tape on these conversations. Why not? They would be having them anyway, taped or not, and it was fun. Both of them come from rather lengthy broadcasting careers so setting up a home studio wasn't so hard to do. And with the addition of Ross, the consummate straight man and "News Dad", things got even more "mediocre." Broadcasting since 2009 has garnered a rather extensive following for "T & D" with loyal "scumbags" (as their listeners are affectionately known) checking in from all across the world. Hundreds of shows under their belts and winners of the Orlando Weekly's "Best of Orlando 2011" for "Best Kept Secret" reassures them both that yes…no one is listening! (Best Kept Secret? HA!)

    It has turned into two stressed dads talking about social media and sports. I find myself skipping through a lot. I enjoy the last 10 minutes of most shows because they’re random and extra goofy. I haven’t been able to listen to Seth in years, but luckily he’s in less. Still better than most of the comedy fluff casts out there.

    Was an intermittent listener until I was laid off during the pandemic and became a dedicated listener and a bdm. This show helped me power through some dark times and always puts a smile on my face. I live in North Carolina now, and this show helps me keep in touch with my roots. Relatable, authentic and hilarious. Can’t go wrong with this show. Do yourself a favor and listen. Bdm for life.

    I feel like this is the Seinfeld of podcasts. It’s about nothing but extremely relatable and sometimes even has a good message. Both Tom and Dan are hilarious. I kid you not, these guys could talk about the intricacies of checking out at the supermarket for about 20 minutes and it would be some of the best content you’ve ever heard. They are honest and break down how they live and their company works. Dan talks about his anxiety, Tom talks about his bumbling, and Sam. Well, I’m not sure what Sam’s “thing” is just yet, except for being very smart and quick witted. Do I agree with every take they have? No. But I’m not a psycho who can’t tell that these guys are playing exaggerated versions of themselves. I mean they talk about weed and alcohol quite a bit. That’s never been my scene, but I still listen because they are cool about it and crack me up. I won’t lie, on the first listen I couldn’t tell Tom or Dan’s voices apart. It drove me nuts. Now I don’t see how that was possible, but I suppose that deserves a fair warning.

    These guys have the ability to improvise their ‘banter splattering’ on the fly and make it hilarious. Dan provides a candid and often hilarious look at managing anxiety and hypochondria while Tom willingly provides himself as a scapegoat for bumbling and messing up, but also has great comedic timing. Sam provides a grounded base for both of them, and adds a great perspective to the conversation. Comedian interviews, Orlando events, and a slightly exaggerated view of their personal lives is a majority of the content they produce. 1095 BDM for life.

    I’ve had this team(s) voice in my ears for so many years. I, personally, associate with all of their points of view. Like Goldilocks would say “this is just right.” Each episode is well produce by Sam so segments are are consistent but the content is all over the place - my favorite part! If you are listening for consistency on one topic like “weather on the 1s” this is not for you. If you are looking to laugh and hear a menagerie of topics; SUBSCRIBE! The audience of this podcast is welcoming and like no other - I assure you! 👉💪👈 Love this place! I’ll stay :)

    These guys are so hilarious and even though it can be dirty jokes, they’re intelligently delivered. Love these guys so much.     Im a long time fan and supporter of Tom and Dan. The new producer “Sam” can’t let Tom finish a sentence without cutting him off and will not let a joke go by without pointing out how it’s “racist, sexist, homophobic, etc” then they have talk about it for 20 minutes. This was the most hilarious podcast on the internet and the guys did a great job of never making anything political ever. Now it’s an ultra “woke” mess. I miss the old days.

    This podcast was recommended to me by a friend( not sure why they thought i would like it lol). From what I can gather the last couple of months is that this is a insider look at local radio. They do interviews with local DJs from Orlando and Florida. I guess if you are into radio than this is a podcast for you. I was unaware of 75 percent of the guest they interview so it didn’t land for me. They have a subscription service(1.99 to 10.99). Its interviews with local radio personalities sprinkled with some banter from the host themselves. I tried it out for the 1.99 fee, was ok not bad but hit or miss. If you are from Orlando and are into local celebrities than this will prob be a hit for you.

    Not to hurt any feelings but havent really been feeling the show ever since Lee has joined the cast. Could be a big coincidence that Ross is gone and i felt he added to the true chemistry of the show and now that he gone its not the same....... Naww its cause of Lee! Lol Lee wanted his own "Chatting with the Masters"....... Come on, Really? Talk about overstepping your boundaries! You just got on the show! I feel Lee or you guys are trying to fit him into the show any way possible even if it seems forced. Just face it, hes that fat tetris peice that doesn't fit. No offense Lee. He should just keep up the good work hes doing in the background where he cant be seen or heard.
