His voice is so deep and captivating, it sucked me in immediately! I stumbled upon this bc of my following of real life ghost stories and haunted uk and uncanny. There’s just not enough haunted stories to satisfy my cold little heart I guess lol please don’t stop posting stories! Thank you so much

Just when I thought I’d heard all the best ghost story podcast I found this “crème de la crème” podcast. I love the spooky ambiance, original music and the narrator’s voice. It is captivating and the sometimes ubiquitous cello music is like a ghostly presence that appears and then disappears throughout the narrative. Bravo Clem Dallaway for “Ghost Tales By The Fireside”

It definitely adds to the ambiance. Good spooky narrative.

This podcast is great. Spooky, interesting, and the voice actor is aces. However the cello music that is constantly playing on repeat in the background is so distracting. I hear Usher’s Yeah, and I can’t unhear it! 😄 Still a 5 out of 5 though, I just can’t binge episodes because the cello drives me nuts after awhile 😄

The narrator’s gravelly tone, pace, and British accent are perfectly suited for reading ghost stories. The sound effects are in perfect balance with the narration. Spookily atmospheric and well-done. This series is a keeper.

Firstly, I’d listen to the host read the phone book, with his marvelous timbre and accent. But these stories are great too! Nothing complex, no ghost investigations, just history and ghost stories about amazing places. (My favorite things about ghost stories is how they relate to local history.) The episodes are as long as they need to be. Not a lot of stories about the destination? Short episode, then. Perfect.

I ran across this podcast about a year ago and really look forward to every new installment. The stories are really good if you like a little history mixed in with your ghosts.

There are few ghost story podcasts so well told and edited. This is by far one of the best.

I feel the volume of the music takes away from setting the atmosphere for the tales
